St. Columba's Service and Justice Ministry has a spring mission trip planned to Casa Franciscana. This is the Mission supported by St. Columba's 2026 Lenten almsgiving appeal. Casa Franciscana serves vulnerable neighborhoods in Guaymas, Mexico, through practical, hope-filled programs that meet immediate needs and nurture long-term dignity, stability, and opportunity for people experiencing the injustice of poverty. Mission ministries St. Columba supported include: Feeding the Hungry — children’s dining rooms, adult dining room, food distribution, and support for migrant farmworkers. Education Outreach — tutoring, mentoring, school supplies, shoes, scholarships, laptops, and youth center support. Care & Sustainability — home gardens, crisis housing, hygiene stations, and essential housing repair. Healthcare — general practice clinic, dental clinic, diabetes education, medical supplies, pharmacy support, lab testing, and home visits. Participants of this mission trip will serve, learn, and build relationships with our neighbors at Casa Franciscana. Families with children 12 years or older are welcome, as space allows.
