Kickoff Mass and Family Game Night

Saturday, January 25

Mass will begin at 5:00

Please plan to first attend Mass to celebrate our amazing school as a St. Columba Family.

Families are invited to join in for a night of fellowship and fun in the school gym after Mass as we will be hosting a chili dinner and family game night. Each family should bring a game that takes less than one hour to play.

While the chili dinner and night of fun is FREE to thank you for being a part of the St. Columba community, we would love for you to take a minute to RSVP HERE to help us plan.

We look forward to seeing you there!

A Special Message From Mr. Chick: St. Columba Day of Giving is Coming!

Take a moment to watch this special Video Message from Mr. Chick welcoming you to this exciting event!

From the St. Columba Archives: The Cornerstone for St. Columba Church was laid June 12, 1881. Sister Mary Baptiste Meyers led the Sisters of Mercy to Durango in 1882 and was instrumental in the founding of two schools, an orphanage, and Mercy Hospital. This legacy is part of a broader story: Catholics have historically played a significant role in establishing healthcare and education in the United States, often founding the first institutions of their kind in many communities The work the Sisters accomplished is truly remarkable, and their spirit of dedication and faith continues to shape our mission today. In the decades that followed, many before us stepped forward to grow St. Columba into what it is today. Families that started the parish in the early years are still represented at Mass each Sunday Together, we have kept alive a vibrant faith that continues to help the St. Columba community flourish.

Please help our school continue to flourish by joining us for our Day of Giving on January 29. Your gift makes a real difference.

1882 Giving Society

Named in honor of our founding year, the 1882 Giving Society recognizes individuals, families, and businesses who make annual gifts (including matching gifts) for $1,882 or more in support of St. Columba's Annual Campaign. Membership is renewable annually. Society members receive special recognition in St Columba's Annual Report and are invited to special events including a celebration following the Day of Giving. The society celebrates donors who represent every constituency, including parents, grandparents, alumni, parishioners, and our many friends of St. Columba School.
