Fishing Club (All Ages)

Reel in the prize catch this summer with the Lake George Fishing Club! Meet us at the Lake George Boathouse/Shelter on the east side of the lake for a little catch and release fun, plus more activities and free giveaways! Equipment and bait will be provided at no charge; staff will be on hand to assist with baiting and handling of fish. Remember, if you are 16 or older, a fishing license is required. NEW! Ladder Pickleball League

Men’s, Women’s, and mixed doubles – players of all skill levels are invited to test their fate in Whitney’s Ladder Pickleball League! Move up or down the ladder based on your play. Best 3 out of 5; games played to 11 points. We will have two levels - Beginner/Intermediate (1.0-3.0) and Intermediate/ Advanced (3.5-5.0). The deadline to register is Friday, June 2nd. Wellness – Health – Inclusive – Thrive FIT Camp is a fusion of cardio, strength, and balance! The variety of exercises including cardio moves, body weight exercises and speed/agility elements ensures that no two classes are the same and that each workout feels new and exciting! KinderGym (Ages 0-6)

Beat the heat and come inside for a few hours of play!

Available for toddlers through preschoolers, Kinder Gym is a great way for your child to burn off some energy while interacting with other children. We provide a wide variety of play equipment, including a small bounce house, hula hoops, tunnels, building blocks and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Get “set” to attend Youth Volleyball Camp! Camp will be conducted by Heidi Smith, St. Cloud Technical and Community College Head Volleyball Coach. Heidi has been coaching for over 20 years and has a passion for working with young athletes to improve their game and to allow them to experience all the benefits that go along with participating in sports. Participants will be introduced to basic volleyball skills including passing, serving, setting and attacking. Campers are asked to come in athletic clothing, tennis shoes, hair pulled back and to bring their own water bottle. Pre-registration is required.

Whitney Sports Complex

Spanning 142 acres along the scenic Sauk River, Whitney Park is the sports headquarters of the St. Cloud Area. Whitney Sports Complex can host a wide variety of sporting events including soccer, softball, baseball, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee. The complex consists of eight slow pitch softball fields, two fast pitch softball fields, two baseball fields, eight soccer fields and a tennis court. Whitney also offers a 1.5-mile paved trail that circles the park.

All organized sports or walk/runs are required to have a permit. For more information on setting up a walk/run or to reserve field space for practices, games, tournaments, or special events, please call or visit us online. *Virtual tour, scheduling, and pricing available online.

Swing into summer ball with Augie Rodriguez, former head coach for the St. Cloud Rox and current facility manager for MASH baseball! Augie and his staff specialize in teaching the fundamentals of baseball through extensive instruction.

Men’s Upper & Lower Co-Rec

Youth Disc Golf (Ages 8-15)

Disc golf is a fun, rewarding sport that provides exercise, safe competition and teaches a lifelong activity. Youth Disc Golf League is co-sponsored by St. Cloud Park and Recreation and St. Cloud Disc Golf Club. Each session will begin with a 30-minute clinic, followed by an hour of play. Sessions will rotate between 3 courses in 2-week increments, starting at Riverside Park (1725 Kilian Blvd), moving to Calvary Hill Park (1800 17th St. S), and ending at River’s Edge Park (1399 3rd St N., Waite Park). Youth will have the opportunity to get involved in the sport and play competively with peers. Disc Golf League will not meet July 4th.

St. Cloud Off-Leash Dog Parks

Looking for a place to play with your four-legged friend?

Purchase a permit tag at City Hall for one of our three Off-Leash Pet Exercise Areas (Dog Parks) in St Cloud! Yearly permits are valid June 1st through May 31st and can be used at any of the City’s Dog Parks. Want to try it out first? Purchase a daily pass at the entrance to each Off-Leash Area for $2.

Dogs must also be licensed by the city where you live and/or be up to date on rabies vaccinations. Please help us keep our parks clean; you must pick up after your dog.

Located on the corner of University Drive and Kilian Boulevard, visitors can explore over 20 acres of world-class gardens, plant collections, and historic hardscape along the Mississippi River. Open daily throughout the season from 6am10pm; free admission. Please note: dogs are not allowed in Munsinger and Clemens Gardens. Contributions to support the Gardens are gratefully accepted. Munsinger Gardens is a wonderful spot for hosting an intimate wedding ceremony, as well as a beautiful backdrop for your posed photography, from engagement or wedding photos to family and senior portraits.

Ceremonies at the Special Events Area with up to 50 participants, as well as photography permits for both Gardens, are scheduled between late-May and mid-October between 4pm and 7pm on weekdays, between 10am and 7pm on Saturdays, and at 10am on Sundays. Reservations are still available for 2023 and 2024.

We also offer Off-Season Photography permits for Munsinger Gardens. For $25 fee (plus tax), plan to take your fall or winter portraits in the Gardens!

Held in the Munsinger Gardens on alternating Sundays, June 11th through August 20th at 3pm, near the Gazebo, this series continues to showcase high quality local talent. Photo Contest Photography in the Gardens 2023

Join us for the annual Art Fair in the Gardens on Thursday, July 20th from 10am-6pm. The Art Fair hosts a variety of artists from all around the state. This event is free and open to the public. Music will be provided throughout the day and food vendors will be on-site.

Photographers! Start snapping those photos for entry into this area photo contest, sponsored by Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society. Photos will be judged in two categories for adults: Landscapes (garden scenery) and Hardscapes (decorative features in the Gardens); youth will be judged from all entries. Photographs must be taken between Nov 2022-Nov 2023. Any visitor to the Gardens is eligible to enter.
