FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2024

Welcome to St. Clair Health’s Annual Summer Swing: Meet Me In Paris!

As we celebrate two important milestones this year, our 25th Summer Swing and St. Clair Health’s 70th anniversary, we invite you to indulge in some of the unique sights and tastes that Paris has to offer.

In our fifth year as co-chairs of the event, we are honored to continue to support St. Clair Health in its largest fundraising event. It remains important to us to see St. Clair Health grow to address the ever-changing needs of healthcare in our community.

As St. Clair Health transitions to become a teaching hospital, proceeds from the event will continue to support this endeavor. These exciting changes will provide valuable services to our area for years to come.

As always, a sincere thank you is extended to all our committee members, sponsors and donors. Their tireless work and generous donations make this evening’s event possible. We look forward to sharing our vision of the Paris streets with you. On se voit la`-bas!

TONIGHT IS A CELEBRATION OF OUR RICH HISTORY & INVESTMENT IN OUR BRIGHT FUTURE

As we mark St. Clair Health’s 70th anniversary, we reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to this moment. We remember the visionary leaders, dedicated healthcare professionals, and generous supporters who shaped our path. We honor the legacy of those who believed in the importance of delivering superior healthcare in the local community and those who worked tirelessly to make it a reality. And we look forward with optimism and determination, confident that St. Clair Health will thrive for another 70 years and beyond with your continued support.

From its earliest days, St. Clair Health has been a cornerstone of the community. Area residents understood the critical importance of having a medical facility within reach, so they came together to raise funds in support of the Hospital’s creation over 10 years before its doors opened. This spirit of giving and community involvement laid the groundwork for what would become a longstanding tradition of high-quality health care, compassion, and excellence.

Today, St. Clair Health stands as a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Our story is one of collaboration and mutual support—with the people, organizations, and businesses of this region playing an integral role in our journey.

Thanks to this legacy of giving, St. Clair Health has evolved to keep pace with medical advancements and expanded to meet the growing needs of our region over the last 70 years. As we look toward the future, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter to ensure St. Clair Health can continue to deliver Expert care from people who care now and for years to come.

By combining best education practices with the most committed, passionate educators, St. Clair Health will bring education excellence to life with several initiatives that mirror the standards of excellence commensurate with our institution. Initiatives including the launch of accredited residency programs for medical school graduates.

St. Clair Health recently earned initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for its new internal medicine residency program. We now qualify to participate in the National Resident Matching Program® and will announce our first class of internal medicine residents on Match Day scheduled for March 15, 2025. This three-year residency program will then accept eight physicians each year beginning in summer 2025—training 24 doctors concurrently when at full complement.

Proceeds from the 25th Annual Summer Swing will enhance this and other educational programs as part of our ongoing transformation into a teaching hospital. A transformation that will enable us to recruit, train, and retain top medical talent in our region. A transformation that will equip our medical staff to meet the challenges of tomorrow and remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation. A transformation that will guarantee the people of our community can continue to receive the best possible care, right here at home.

Tonight’s Summer Swing provides an opportunity for us to come together, once again, in support of a cause that touches every life in our community. Your generosity will directly impact the lives of countless patients and families, ensuring that St. Clair Health remains a pillar of strength and stability for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of our story, for celebrating with us tonight, and for contributing to the future of St. Clair Health. Here’s to 70 years of St. Clair Health—and to many more years of making a difference together.

ART WALK

A Unique Parisian Experience

From famous art galleries and street murals to renowned art schools and museums, you cannot explore Paris without encountering beautiful works of art history. There is art in the very bricks that make up the City of Light! That is why the French capital has attracted artists from around the world for centuries—artists in all eras and from every generation who wish to educate themselves and seek inspiration from its artistic resources and galleries.

Knowing Paris remains an epicenter of the international art world, St. Clair Health was inspired to make tonight’s Parisian-themed event another must-visit destination for art fans. Take a stroll around the Living Room to enjoy an exclusive art walk featuring a variety of pieces from local artists. Each piece is available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting both the artist and St. Clair Health Foundation.
