Holiday Events for All Ages The holiday season is upon us! There are many things to do during December, and we hope you choose to spend some of your time with us.

We are offering a variety of holiday events that the whole family can attend, from the youngest to the oldest. And it’s all free!

Take a look at our offerings below. Some do require registration, but many do not!

Make Time to be creative with us! Join us in December to try out some of our craft and tech toys.

Make Time to create with a variety of crafting tools! Each week we will feature a different tool from our new Make Time cart, but feel free to explore all we have to offer.

December 2-6 Create-A-Sticker: Create stickers in a snap. Place an item up to 5 inches wide in the Create-A-Sticker, turn the knob, and then tear and peel the sticker. It’s that easy!

December 9-13 Sewing Sensations: Try out our Singer 7258 sewing machine, which is good for beginners and experts. Make your own Fat Quarter sewing project.

December 16-20 Tech Toys: Get techy with the Tech Toys! Code, connect, and create with Makey Makey, littleBits, Cubelets, Ozobots, and more.

December 23, 26-28 (December 28 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM) Hand Crafts: Try your hand at knitting, crochet, or jewelry making with our beginner kits.

Season of Light gives you and your family an up-close look at the traditions and customs celebrated around the world during this time of year.

The Alien Who Stole Christmas returns this holiday season!

Join us for an extended version of The Alien Who Stole Christmas.

Learn about the winter solstice and the seasons, as well as the astronomical possibilities behind the Star of Bethlehem.

You and your children will learn about the planets and more.

For All Ages

Mr. Freep, an alien, nabs Santa on Christmas Eve and takes him on a tour of the solar system.

It will include a winter star walk that will share the wonders of the winter night sky with you and your children, both young and old.

Doors open 15 minutes before the scheduled show time. Due to the unusual lighting conditions in the planetarium, no one is allowed to enter once the show has started. Please come early.
