SPOTLIGHT ON OUR UNDERWRITERS Thank you for Supporting the Show! Tonya and David Scharf

FROM THE DIRECTOR When Disney’s Frozen became available for high school productions last Spring, I knew it would be a hit with the girls in our SCA theater department. When the first Frozen movie came out, our entire cast was under five years old. This is a story that they grew up with. They have videos of themselves singing the songs, pictures of themselves dressed up as Anna and Elsa, and countless memories of this story being part of their childhood. This is why I chose this show to produce. It has been so fun watching these young ladies relive a little bit of their childhood. This story is one of true love, but not the romantic love you see in most fairy tales. This is the true love and bond of sisterhood. When Anna sacrifices her safety to find her sister and try to help her, she ultimately almost loses her life. Anna’s love for her sister is the only way to save Elsa and the people of Arendell. Anna is the true hero. This is another reason this production is a perfect fit for St. Cecilia Academy. We know a few things about sisterhood! Thank you to our guest performers – Alden, Caleb, Kemper, Leo, and Jake – we are so lucky to have as part of the cast. You each bring the perfect personality to your characters. To our 7 senior actresses – Alistair, Cimbri, Colette, Maria, Mary Cecilia, Miller, and Mollie Kate, and our two crew members – Elsa and Taylor Ann – thank you for your leadership and love of SCA theater. Your journey through this program has been rewarding for everyone you encounter. Many prayers and blessings on your next journey beyond SCA! Thank you to the faculty, staff, and sisters, especially our Principal, Sister Josemaria, our Vice Principal of Academics, Sister Elise, and our Fine Arts Department Chair, Amie Pike. Thank you also to our Musical Director, Kyle Hankins,

and our Choreographer, Jasmine Dillion. You truly are the “dream team” and I appreciate all your hard work helping to produce this musical. Thank you to all our guest musicians. You really helped bring this story to life through music. I also would like to thank Crystal Kurek, director of our Jr. High theater program, for your friendship and support. Lastly, I am grateful to my daughter, Mary Cecilia, for letting me share this experience with her and for my husband, Eric, who has been a great theater dad. Finally, I dedicate this performance to the St. Cecilia girls who worked so hard to create this story of your childhood through characters, your singing, and the hours of dance rehearsals. Your dedication to theater and your support of each other is truly inspiring and I feel so blessed to have been a part of this production with you. Sincerely,

Diane Meier
