When you commit to social justice, you change the world for the better. And there are so many exciting ways to make a difference with a social work degree from St. Catherine University. Here, you’ll develop a critical understanding of oppression at all levels in society, and learn how to work with individuals, families, communities, organizations, and government to solve challenges and inequities people face – and meet their needs. Our accredited program finishes with a 400-hour internship during your senior year under the supervision of a licensed social worker to boost confidence and real-world experience.

COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORK
Work alongside groups, organizations and individuals to assess the needs of a population, plan and administer programs, and connect communities with resources
MEDICAL SOCIAL WORK
Collaborate with larger medical teams to develop a care plan for patients, provide mental and emotional support to patients and their families, and connect patients to resources
MENTAL
HEALTH SOCIAL WORK
Support clients who have mental health disorders or substance misuse issues through a range of interventions, such as therapy
MILITARY SOCIAL WORK
Assist military service members, veterans, and their families with the unique challenges associated with military life, such as transitioning back to civilian life
SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK
Empower students to reach their full potential by providing evidence-based interventions to improve academic performance and behavioral outcomes
