In this issue of Statesboro Magazine, we look for the helpers during this COVID-19 time. We found helpers at the Bulloch County Board of Education. Since school closed, the BOE has been feeding over 10,000 children per week. Schools' staffs, teachers, bus drivers, and principals prepare, package, and deliver meals to over 70 distribution points. We also found helpers at the Statesboro Main Street Farmers Market, Market2Go, to handle the phenomenal increase in local online food orders. And we found local healthcare helpers and heroes to salute in our special Frontline section of this issue. Plus, music to heal our souls shared online by area artists, along with encouraging messages of “Faith over Fear” from four local pastors.
We are amazed by what can be accomplished when we all come together to work for the good and to hold steady in our faith, above all hoping for a better future.
