Maryland Global Gateway Program
The Maryland Global Gateway Program is a first-of-its kind soft-landing program targeted at international companies looking to explore the U.S. market. Through partnerships with one of the participating business incubators and accelerators across Maryland, eligible companies can receive incentives to reduce the costs associated with exploring a new market.
Program Benefits:
• $10,000 reimbursement grant for funding towards rent, business registration costs, and other associated costs
• Training, mentoring, matchmaking, and networking through state government and local incubator programs

• Access to 350 federal, academic, and private research centers
• Close proximity to nearly 180 embassies
• Opportunities to network with 900+ foreignowned companies

Steps for interested companies:
1. Learn more about the program and apply online at commerce.maryland.gov/softlanding
2. Eligible companies will work with a specialist from the Maryland Department of Commerce to identify and connect with a Global Gateway partner
3. Once an agreement is reached between a company and a Global Gateway partner, the company can receive the full benefits of their partner organization, including the Global Gateway funding

Throughout the program and beyond, the Maryland Department of Commerce works individually with each company to provide assistance, identify a suitable Global Gateway partner, and offer counseling for business registration, market research, and related topics.
