The Class of '71 has been cogecher since 7th grade - a statement classes won't be able co make much longer. Despite the often repeated "student turnover" in this "transient" town, it's still the same basic bunch.

Do you rememb er?

at the junior high, report ca rd s with the human touch getting suspended for forgetting excuse blanks three days in a row ... alphabetically segregated lunches ... rolling Sweet-Tam down the ramp ... getting ice-cream and knives ... using ink for the first time "because you'll have to in senior high" ... being told ninth graders are perfect by teachers . . . the ~rsc year of girl's track.

at the senior high, upperclassmen trying co walk all over you getting our first "best one-act" award "Good News" ... Mrs. Zera abandoned fully clothed in the middle of a lake at the Sophomore picnic Rex being responsible eno ugh for pop, cracke rs, and ice cream machines we couldn't use afrer school ... gec cing another "best one-act" award "Oklahoma" the Junior Talent Show welfare drives those endlessly returning parch days ... Greasers ... the Prom in the gym and cafeteria running everything from football ream to Student Cou n cil ... renaming the school newspaper being the stars of all chose victorious teams the can drive the Peace Corps School Partnership Drive paws to Bellefonte, paw pictu.i:es, paw power, paw buttons our buses to away games Mr. Pye's levelheadedness saving us the New Year's Eve Dance . . . ou r overwhelming number of M erit semi-finalists and commended ones th e Dinner Dance ... There1s no business like show business like no business I know

Everything about it is aJ1Jealing

Everything the traffic 1fill tt!Low

Nowhere cttn you get that happy feeling

When you a1'e stealing that extra bow.

The costumes, the scenery, the make-up, the props

The audience that lifts you when you're down

The head-aches, the heart-aches, the back-aches, the flops

The sheriff who escorts you out of town ..

There's no people like show people

They smile when they are low

Still you wouldn't trade it fo r a pack of gold

Let's go on with the show!
