Head Coach Brad Hagedorn

Brad Hagedorn is in his first season as the Head Track and Field and Cross Country Coach at State Fair Community College. Hagedorn brings considerable experience as a track and field coach at the high school level. He served as the head high school track coach at Smith Cotton High School, a position he held since 2006. He served as the assistant high school track coach from 1999 to 2005. He also previously served as the head high school girl’s track coach at Cameron High School from 1997-1999. Coach Hagedorn has coached 61 academic all-state recipients since the award was instituted in 2016. He led his team to nine West Central Conference track and field championships. He helped Smith Cotton to a district runner-up finish in boys Class 4 track and field in 2008. He coached a state championship girls Class 5 team in the 4x100 meter relay. Hagedorn has also coached a state champion in the girls Class 5 200 meter. In total, his student-athletes have earned 29 Class 4 or 5 track and field all-state performances and 56 team track meet championships during his time at Smith-Cotton Coach Hagedorn earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Central Missouri State University in 1995. He also earned a master’s degree in Education with emphasis in Athletic Administration and Physical Education from Northwest Missouri State University in 1997.
