On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Texas State Representative Ryan Guillen (R-Rural South Texas) was sworn in for another term in the Texas House of Representatives, kicking off the 88th session of the Texas Legislature. “I’m very humbled to be entrusted to represent the people of rural South Texas in the state legislature,” said Guillen. “As always, I’m determined to work vigorously to help make Texas an even greater place to live, work
and raise a family.” Surrounded by his wife Dalinda, daughters Cinco and Viva, his father Mario and his wife Maria, and the other 149 members of the Texas House, Guillen recited the Oath of Office last Tuesday. “This is a crucial time for our state,” said Guillen. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to help combat rising inflation and property taxes, to address border security, school safety, and mental health , to ensure that our values are safeguarded, and to help address the things that matter most to our constituents.” Since he was first elected, Representative Guillen has worked diligently to improve opportunities for South Texas families and communities.
