Congratulations to the seven Roma High School Mariachi Nuevo Santander students who earned chairs in the prestigious TMEA All-State Mariachi Ensemble!! These extremely talented student musicians have worked hard for several years in the Roma ISD Mariachi Program building their skills to achieve this goal. Mario E. Canales Jr. earned 1st Chair Trumpet, Christian Cano earned 1st Chair Harp, and Jorge N. Hernandez earned 1st Chair Guitarron. Samuel Garza earned 2nd Chair Violin and Rusbel Flores earned 2nd Chair Nylon Guitar. Isabella K. Gonzalez earned 7th Chair Violin and Josue E. Molina earned 8th Chair Violin. There are only 18 chairs available in the TMEA state ensemble, with Roma ISD students securing more than one third of them! Only the top student musicians in the state earn these highly Congratulations RGC FFA member Aubree Rodriguez! Keep up the coveted spots after preparing for months to participate in the rigorous competition. The students will great work! 2024 South Texas Fall Classic 3rd overall Wether Doe, perform with the ensemble at the TMEA State Convention in February 2025.
