Modifications can be made with the click of a mouse, turning the basic design into their dream home.

“The aim is to encourage prospective home buyers to put their own individual touches to one of our home designs, and changing it to suit their own needs,” Michael Renwick of Hotondo Homes said.

“Allowing people to make changes to the plan helps us build a home suited to their exact lifestyle and requirements.

“For example, if they have a big family they can add an extra bedroom, study or rumpus, or if someone is a keen handyman they might want a bigger garage for a

workspace or storage.

“Our customers have told us that they want the flexibility to tweak the floor plan to make it their own, so they aren’t locked into a standard home design.

Mr Renwick said one of the main reasons people want to build a home is so they can build exactly what they want – a design unique to their own lifestyle.

“The Hotondo Home Planner is great fun for clients to play around with and design their dream home, plus it saves costs as it eliminates the need to see an architect,” Mr Renwick said.
