GOING, GOING ... STRONG AUCTION RESULTS

PROPERTY MATTERS

AUCTIONS have been a force in Noosa in the Easter-Anzac period with six of the eight properties selling either on the day or prior.

Now a Tewantin property has sold ahead of this Saturday’s scheduled date.

Beau Lamshed of Tom Offermann Real Estate saw the Tewantin house at 88 Werin St be on the market six days into the campaign before being presented with an offer of $1.680m that suited the vendors.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-car house with pool featured open-plan living, a designer kitchen and a vast entertaining zone at the rear.

There was extra space for extra off-street parking and boat storage.

The buyers, from the Noosa hinterland, were looking to downsize while the sellers were able to focus on their next move, Beau said.

It shows that location can be the key, as well as presentation and what the package comprises. In this case the 800sq m block and double shed for extra parking was a big appeal.

The property attracted some interstate interest but mainly coastal Noosa and hinterland inspections.

Attention will now turn to a dream Doonan property Beau is expected to take to auction late in May.

PERFECT RESULT

It was a 100 percent success rate for the Watts Property Group on Saturday, 26 April, when Adam Watts and Michelle van der Splinter sold both properties they took to auction.

The classic two-bedroom, one-bathroom western red cedar cottage with a carport at 10 Oak St, Sunshine Beach, attracted more than 10 registered bidders and a crowd of 50-60.

Built in the 1980s and offered to the market for the first time in more tha 40 years, this Gabriel Poole-designed pole home was set in an elevated position on 518sq m.

Zoe Cooke at Tom Offermann Real Estate had strong pre-action interest in a single-level house with pool at 17 Rainbow Cres, Sunrise Beach, that came with a secondary dwelling.
