Similarly, a flurry of interest in properties across all price-points and locations pre auction and especially on auction day, which is always an exciting time, albeit sometimes bittersweet.

“That brief moment when the auctioneer’s hammer falls is when life positively changes for the sellers, signifying they have officially sold and with a multitude of things on the agenda can proceed with certainty and purpose,” explains agency principal Tom Offermann.

“At the same time there is an explosion of excitement for the buyers. Their search has finally ended, dreams realised and a new chapter in life is about to begin.

“That’s what I really love about auctions. It is a major win-win for both the buyers and sellers, with most properties selling under the hammer to buyers who are cashed-up or have arranged finance in advance, and for properties not selling under the hammer within a week or two we typically match them up with buyers who require conditions such as finance.

“For some who have missed out on auction day perhaps being out-bid, another opportunity is just around the corner.

“Auctions have proven to be the best and fairest way to bring buyers and sellers together in a transparent environment.”

It was very happy days for Tom Offermann Real Estate agents Michael McComas and Rebekah Offermann at their listing of 32 Mermaid Quay, Noosa Waters, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom waterfront residence in a cul-de-sac and neighbour to Seahorse Park. It was sold under the hammer for $3.9m.

NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUING

At 6 Stevens St, Sunshine Beach, a quintessential easy-breezy residence close to the beach and designed by awardwinning architect David Teeland, Tom Offermann Real Estate agents Rebekah Offermann and Michael McComas are continuing negotiations post auction with interested parties. It is listed at $6.95m. Negotiations post-auction are underway for a two-level, five-bedroom, threebathroom beachside residence at 1 Peregian Esp, Peregian Beach, with Tom Offermann Real Estate agent Tracy Russell. It is listed for $2.385m.
