Rhymes bring smiles Easter holidays are around the corner and parents are already having fun with their little ones. Wednesday was Baby Rhyme Time at the Pakenham Library. Parents and their babies enjoyed dancing and singing along to songs and rhymes from books they love.

More train trouble Frustrations have boiled over as AFL fans endure lengthy public transport delays. Eastern Victoria MP Melina Bath claims she received angry reports from passengers about the unreliability of trains during peak footy hours. They told Ms Bath about sudden changes to replacement buses along the Gippsland line

after night games, despite being told trains would be running, during round one of the 2023 AFL season. One passenger told Ms Bath they were stranded at Southern Cross Station when there weren’t enough buses to meet passenger demand. While those taking the replacement hopped

on at 11pm for a journey that for some took as long as four hours. Ms Bath says commuters were fed up with the public transport woes, demanding to know when the State Government’s train/replacement bus saga will end. “It’s been eight long years of train disruptions for Gippsland, the Andrews Government

cannot justify such a low level of service,” she said. “Bad commuter experiences continue to be reported to my office from locals fed up with the Andrews Government’s ineffective bus replacement program on the Gippsland line.” Continued page 2
