Hotel open soon The new Mercure Hotel in Pakenham is set to open its doors in September 2022. The hotel, with 64 guestrooms and suites with a stylish lounge and cafe area, will also soon reveal a new restaurant that will be utilised by both hotel guests and the Pakenham population. It also features business services with conference, function and boardroom facilities. The hotel is on Racecourse Road, within the former Pakenham Racing Club precinct on land where iconic local couple David and Joan Bourke lived for years, right next to the

Cardinia Club. “We are very proud to introduce the wonderful new Mercure Pakenham hotel to the local community,” Mercure Pakenham managing director Dale Bainbridge said. “Pakenham has been in need of an accommodation facility and we are excited to deliver it. “The hotel sits adjacent to the Cardinia Club and will create a dynamic entertainment precinct offering dining, accommodation, conferences and functions.

“Pakenham and the Cardinia Shire is a rapidly growing area and this will be a valuable complex to help support this growth with much needed accommodation. “We are excited by the growth in the business parks and are confident that our hotel will service that segment with the facilities we offer also. “We opened our online bookings for the hotel earlier this year and have been amazed by the strong demand so far.” Mercure Pakenham is the third hotel that

Mr Bainbridge has partnered with Accor on in Australia. “We are thrilled to partner with Dale Bainbridge, and support him as his hotel network goes from strength to strength,” said Sarah Derry, Accor Pacific chief executive officer. “Holding appeal for both leisure and business travellers, Mercure Pakenham will provide incredible guest experiences. The hotel has been tailored to suit travellers who value quality accommodation, great dining options and leading design.”
