Tooradin Primary School Prep students celebrated their first 100 days at school on Friday 27 July. To mark the occasion, they dressed up as their 100-year-old selves for a 100 Day party. The excited youngsters also took part in activities based on the number 100 including building a 100 cup tower, writing their name 100 times, making a 100 domino track and more. "Each child bought along a collection of 100 items, with the Bogunovic family donating 100 books to the school and the McNabb family donating 100 trees to be planted in the school garden to enhance the natural environment and be a memory for years to come" Prep teacher Carly Payne said.

Carjacking terror A mother has been carjacked at gunpoint by a pair of thugs in Narre Warren South on Thursday 27 July. The victim, a 57-year-old of Narre Warren South was driving along Harrington Drive when a white coloured Volkswagen Golf SUV rear-ended her just after 9pm. Detective Sergeant Dean Higgins said the woman got out of her car to exchange details with the driver. She was approached by two men from the four wheel drive where police allege one of the men produced a handgun and demanded her keys.

"When she refused initially the male with the firearm has hit her with what we believe to be the butt of the firearm in the mouth," Detective Sgt Higgins said. The two men, described as African in appearance, got into the victim's car and drove away. The victim received minor facial injuries. Detective Sgt Higgins described the attack as "horrendous." "To have a firearm pointed at you and threatened with a firearm in the dark of night is horrific." Police have since located the SUV abandoned in a driveway in Dandenong where a man was also seen fleeing the car on Saturday 28 July.

Highway Patrol officers had attempted to intercept the car bearing false number plates about 9am on Stud Road when it sped off in a service lane. Shortly after, police allege the SUV was involved in a collision with another car at the intersection of Stud and Brady Roads. No one was injured and no arrests have yet been made. The woman's daughter Harpreet has pleaded for witnesses or anyone with information on Facebook's Casey Crime Page regarding the carjacking incident. "When she was shocked and quite for some time they hit her in the face and the gang drove off," she said. Detective Sgt Higgins said it was believed the SUV had been stationary at a roundabout
