Death in Berwick Two men have been charged with murder and attempted murder after a man died at a rooming house in Berwick on 30 April. A 32-year-old Berwick man and a 28-yearold Longwarry man were remanded and were expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 2 May. 10pm on 30 May. A 35-year-old Narre Warren man was treated at the scene but died a short time later, police say. A female had also received non-life threatening stab wounds. I just hope they are OK," said neighbour Therese Kearney. On her daily walks, she often had a "bit of a natter" to the couple who regularly sat on a bench on the home's nature strip.
