netballers, a bunch of women sewing away in a loft, a dedicated band of volunteers tackling the challenges of autism and new mums grappling with the day to day responsibilities of motherhood have in common?

A three-year sponsorship with AFL Yarra Ranges Football and Netball signed last week is the latest of a growing number of sporting, community welfare and cultural sponsorships signed off by the network of community banks that include Belgrave, Ferntree Gully, Healesville, Monbulk, Montrose, Mooroolbark, Mount Evelyn, Rowville, Upwey, Wandin/Seville, Warburton, Woori Yallock and Yarra Junction.

The Babes Project which provides expectant and new mothers with support now cares for around 150 women and the demand for their services is growing.

Spectrum Journeys provides much needed support to families dealing with autism.

They opened their new hub in Lilydale last year and Yarra Ranges group of banks was proud to be there supporting that great initiative also.

Days for Girls is a project of Wandin Rotary’s Inner Wheel group where members sew femine hygiene products that change lives of young girls in disadvantaged countries in ways that go way beyond the basic concept.
