Charges dropped The trio were each accused of sexual penetration of a child under 16, in Geelong, in the early hours of 1 November, 2015. They last year pleaded not guilty to the rape and abduction charges. After the announcement the trial will not proceed, the Victorian Supreme Court issued a suppression order, preventing media from reporting what police have said happened to the girl. Meanwhile, Fairfax reports have said there were concerns about the girl’s wellbeing with the trial approaching.

Brothers from Mount Evelyn and Olinda, and one relative, will no longer face trial over allegations they raped a 14-year-old girl in 2015. Kevin Andrew Wild, 31, of Olinda, and Allan Mark Wild, 30, of Mount Evelyn, and their relative Brodie Mark Wild, 20, were due to stand trial next month over charges they raped the girl in Geelong. However, on Friday 24 February, 2017, prosecutors told the Victorian Supreme Court they have dropped the charges.
