Other clubs to receive a donation were Berwick Netball Club, Narre Warren Football Club, Skye United Soccer Club, Heinz South Dandenong Cricket Club, Narre South Cricket Club and Casey Comets Football Club.

Marketing manager Graham Nolan said the family day was a way for Brown Property Group to showcase the community to potential new residents while also rewarding those who had already decided to call it home. The day also was a great was to showcase the new display village. “Some of our builders have been open for a while, but today is the first day we’ve had all our builders open,” Mr Nolan explained. “We also have a number of residents now in Highgrove, the community is growing, so we wanted to put a day on for them with lots of fun family entertainment and free food. We want to get them to meet each other and enjoy a fun day out.” Among those at the open day were Kath and Greg Neilson, who are building their new home with Romeo Homes. The couple said they wanted to show

their support for Romeo Homes, one of the builders on show in the new display village. “We liked Romeo’s flexibility, their design,” Kath said. “We like heritage but the space and functionality of the modern. COMMUNITY groups and sporting clubs gratefully collected cheques worth tens of thousands of dollars at the Highgrove family day on Saturday 19 November, thanks to a unique three-way partnership. Hundreds of people flocked to the Clyde North community drawn by the brilliant sunshine, free food, kids activities and the chance to meet players from the Carlton Football Club. The family day also marked the opening of the Highgrove display village, which has 27 stunning homes by 12 of Melbourne’s best builders. On hand to present the cheques was Brown Property Group director and former Carlton player Fraser Brown. The donations were a result of a fundraising collaboration between Highgrove, Orbit Homes and the Carlton Football Club. The trio built and sold a house within the Highgrove community, with some of the proceeds of the sale going to some local community groups. Renee Purton from the Berwick Springs Junior Football Club welcomed the $1000 donation to her club. “Any donation we get to the club is wonderful. Brown Property Group have made a very generous donation. It’s going to help with new sports equipment and with our facilities. We are a non-profit organisation so we do rely on the generosity of the community. This is just fantastic.” Cranbourne Information and Support Service CEO Leanne Petrides said the group's $10,000 donation would help get local children get ready for school. “The Information and Support Service will use the money for our education assistance program,” Ms Petrides said. “At this time of year we run a back to
