IT WAS a great day to be a dog on Saturday (3 September) at the annual Poochies at Peregian family fun day. Each year the front oval at St Andrew’s Anglican College becomes a haven for pups as they join their owners to help raise funds for Smart Pups, assistance dogs specially trained to aid autistic children. The event is a great chance for dogs and their owners to get out and socialise while taking advantage of the mobile dog wash on-site, tips from local vets and plenty of treats galore.
