Lots of action at R&W auction The auction room at Sheraton Noosa was packed with bidders, lookers and buyers on Easter Thursday for another Richardson & Wrench Noosa in-room property auction. Auctioneer Peter Baldwin led the successful auction with effortless ease. Richardson & Wrench Noosa co-principal Jennifer Carr said Peter Baldwin was encouraging, professional and knowledgeable, and often meets with buyers and sellers prior to the 4pm start to instil further confidence. The auction was a great success with the first property, a home at Cottonwood Drive, sold within minutes. A much sought after apartment within the French Quarter was next in the lineup, and while it didn’t sell at auction, the unit sold before the end of the day. An apartment within the Sebel complex was also sold later in the afternoon.

Three more properties were snapped up, with a waterfront Mossman Court home being taken out the night before auction. Then 18 Wesley Court on Noosa Sound sold and the duplex home in Ferguson Street, Sunshine Beach sold also. Jennifer said Richardson & Wrench was currently negotiating the sale of three more properties. “All in all, it was a very successful campaign,” she said. “The crowd always love a good auction; a sharp intake of breath as a late bidder puts up a paddle on the third call, applause after the hammer announces a property is sold, or sighs as bids increase in small amounts. “It is an interesting process but one that Richardson & Wrench Noosa has been doing regularly and successfully for 22 years.”
