local patisserie from Albury putting on demonstrations throughout the day – I heard macaroons are on the menu!� Bing Lee began operations in Fairfield, western Sydney in 1957, with 2007 seeing the celebration of Bing Lee’s 50th consecutive year in business. Bing Lee is the only brown and white goods retailer in Australia to trade for 57-consecutive years and was founded by Bing Lee and his son, Ken Lee. Both Bing and Ken have passed away, but third generation Lee, Lionel, is currently at the helm of the business, occupying the role of CEO and teaming up with his mother Yenda, who remains a vital part of the advertising sector. Bing Lee has continued to grow from strength to strength, with 40 stores spread

from Canberra in the south to Armidale in the north, and now Wodonga. To their credit, many Bing Lee employees have been with the company for the majority of their working lives, with longest serving employee having spent 51 years in the business. The company employs over 800 full-andpart-time staff.
