ASCOT LAUNCHED IN PAKENHAM ONE of Australia’s largest property fund managers, Industry Superannuation Property Trust (ISPT), has announced the launch of ‘Ascot’ in Pakenham, located on the site of the former Pakenham Racecourse. The $80 million project encompasses a 27-hectare infill site located within the heart of Pakenham’s town centre and adjacent to the existing train station, making Ascot the most inter-connected estate in the entire Cardinia Shire growth corridor. The 500-plus lot community was launched to the public on Saturday 5 April and includes an innovative mix of traditional and townhouse-style homes as well as an abundance of public parks, quality streetscapes and striking architectural forms throughout the project. Ascot’s first release, the ‘Arlington’ precinct, consists of 24 quality blocks abutting Pakenham’s town centre and established road network, with land starting from $135,000 and home-andland packages starting from less than $300,000. Within the project’s master plan, the existing Pakenham Creek bed will be regenerated and developed as a key feature, and will provide a number of opportunities for high quality creek-front and park-front homes. Elsewhere, integrated wetland bodies will capture and treat stormwater run-off before releasing any overflow back into nearby water catchments, while a central town park will sit nearby to a proposed retail activity centre to create a cohesive neighbourhood ‘hub’.
