Special Business Meeting: June 6 To enable us to enhance our live streaming ministry, we have a proposal from Martinsville Electronics for permanent equipment to be installed in the sanctuary. Because it is “assumption of major financial responsibility by the church” the church will be called into a Special Business Meeting on Sunday, June 6. Watch for details about this proposal for ministry to be made available soon.
Regathering Phases: Phase 3
We are excited that we have moved to Phase 3 and have resumed gathering in the sanctuary for worship! We are holding services in-person in the sanctuary while also continuing to make worship available online. You can find all of the information about our health and safety protocols on the website and in your mailbox (both physical and electronic). We need your help in keeping everyone safe as we gather. If you can help take temperatures, write down names for contact tracing, push elevator buttons, or direct worshipers to open pews, please volunteer on our website or by calling the Church Office.

On Mission
Our Annual Mission Offering ends Sunday, May 23rd. With a goal of $6,000, we were able to raise $6,531. These funds will be dispersed throughout the upcoming year to our ministry and ministry partners. Through your giving, you enable our partners to do Kingdom work around the world.
Through our Benevolence Fund we are able to help those in need in our community that don’t qualify for assistance elsewhere. We are always in need of resources to be able to meet needs as they arise. During these days when the pandemic has caused so much economic hardship, please consider giving to the SABC Benevolence Fund so that we can help our neighbors.
Faith Formation
The latest Sunday School material is available for pick up! You can find these at the Check-In tables at the two entrances (parking lot and Starling Avenue).
Thanks to Tonie McMillan, the Church Library will be open on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 10 am-12 pm. Come check out a new book or puzzle! There are new books available in the Library for the season.

Here are current ways to continue to give to the ministry and mission of SABC.
-In the offering plates at the Check-In Tables at in person worship
-Through USPS to 932 Starling Avenue, Martinsville, VA 24112. Your offering envelopes are already self-addressed and only need a stamp and tape to reinforce its closure.
-Drop off your envelopes in the locked mailbox outside of the Church Office.
-Set up an automatic or one-time bank draft through your bank. Simply go to your bank’s bill pay webpage. Set up Starling Avenue Baptist Church as the “payee” and have your payments automatically delivered electronically. This is simple and doesn’t cost you or the church any fees.
-Online giving available at www.starlingavenue.org. You can choose “Cover Fees” to slightly increase your gift to pay processing fees.
