Angela has been presented with two awards for Excellence in Preaching. The Addie Davis Award, A national award presented by Baptist Women in Ministry and the Philip Wendell Crannell Award by Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Angela resides in Danville, VA. She is married to Rev. Steve Zimmerman and has twin daughters, Karen and Kimberly. Steve is the founding partner of the Barnabas Partnership, assisting churches in south central Virginia. He is currently serving as Interim Pastor of Greenpond Baptist Church in Chatham, Va. Their daughter Karen serves as a pastor of a protestant church in a Northern Africa through CBF. Kimberly, their other daughter, teaches orchestra to middle school students in North Carolina. Angela is eager to join with Starling Avenue Church in sharing God’s great love to people in the church, the community, and beyond.
