OUR COLLECTION

Collection development at Stark Library is missiondriven and curates materials to ensure we can offer formats that are accessible to people of all ages and abilities, including representing a wide range of individual perspectives.

Our dedicated staff is always looking for new and exciting accessibility options to support our community! Existing options include braille materials, large print materials, audio and talking books, subtitles in film, and digital materials that include compatibility with screen readers and customization of visual settings and fonts.

NEW! To Our Collection

Assistive Technology Packs (2 different options available)

The Time Management pack allows users to explore things like a Watch Minder and Magnetic Checklists as options to help manage time. With the Reading Kit pack, compare the LeapFrog System against a CPen which can help foster a love of reading. Both packs were made possible by the generosity of Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Packs are available for ages 14-22, in-library use (only) at our East Canton, Lake, and Plain Branches, and at our Main Library.
