Wood is a natural material with unique variations in color, texture, and grain. These natural differences contribute to the warmth, beauty, and distinct character of each hardwood floor. Due to the inherent qualities of wood and the finishing process, every Stanton wood floor is one-of-a-kind. As a product of nature, the variations in each plank ensure a beautifully unique finished floor.
Floor Care
To ensure the full benefit of warranties and to extend the beauty of your new hardwood floor, we recommend the following preventative maintenance steps for your hardwood floor.
Sweep and vacuum floors regularly. Use walk-off-mats at doorways and area rugs in high traffic areas to make long term care easier.
Install felt floor protectors under furniture and appliances to help prevent scratches and dents. Use soft rubber casters for rolling furniture.
Maintain a healthy humidity at 35-60%. Certain regions within North America have extreme changes in humidity levels that can affect all wood floors. To maintain the humidity at the healthy range, it may require either a humidifier or a dehumidifier.
For normal cleaning, use a sponge mop with clear water, squeezed dry. For heavier cleaning, mist a cleaner (made for polyurethane coated hardwood floors) onto a sponge or sponge mop.
