A few members walked to a local farmer’s market for lunch during day 2!

Our Chapter went to multiple sessions throughout the convention. We heard many retiring addresses, listened to speeches, and learned from the Major State Officer’s speeches.

The Convention theme this year was “Electrify”



Chap Member Lucas Hanen received his State Degree!
Members went to a few workshops to work on leadership and teamwork.


Nathan Brammer showed Goats + Rabbits. He won Showmanship!
Dakota Parr showed sheep.



Iroquois County Fair



Maya and Tiffany helped run the Kids Zone! They did daily agrelated activities for kids, such as making ice cream in a bag and an egg drop!

Larry Dumontelle also brought his Wife’s Sweetheart FFA Jacket!

Every year our town has a fall festival. This years theme was “Retro Rewind.” 3 Alumni came to ride the float, and they each brought their Jacket. DArren Wagner brought a tractor to pull our float.

Each year our chapter helps at the pull. It was a pretty rainy day, but everyone still had fun! Each member also got a T-Shirt to wear.

Day 1:

Members ate lunch at Cracker Barrel, attended the first general session, and went to the Lainey Wilson concert.

We attended session 4, ate lunch at The Yardhouse, and went to a leadership workshop.

We took a tour of Crown Hill Cemetary, walked around the FFA Expo and Shopping Center, and ended the night at Texas Roadhouse and a Haunted House!

Brat Sale
The officer team and a few members went to our local FS Grain to sell brat meals to farmers, and anyone else that stopped in, to raise money for our chapter. The Ag Business class helped prep the lunch bags.





Each meal included a drink, a cookie, a bag of chips, condiments, and 1 or 2 smoked brats.
Quilt Raffle

Lisa DeYoung made and donated a quilt for our annual quilt raffle. This year it was a pumpkin quilt! We sold over 100 tickets.

U of I Greenhand Conference




4 of our Chapter Greenhands went to the U of I Greenhand Conference. They had a fun time and learned about themselves,, leadership, and teamwork.
BUILD Conference

Maya and Tiffany traveled to ISU for the BUILD Conference. They had a great trip between the sessions, shopping, and going out to eat.

For this CDE, members had to take a general Knowledge exam, ID Insects, Judge Placing Classes, ID Plants, ID Seeds, and ID Machinery.
Wreaths Across America
Our chapter helped our local American Legion Post in putting wreaths on veteren’s headstones at a local cemetary.

wreatsh were placed at the center of the headstone, with the bow at the top. Then, we placed our right hand on our heart and say the veterns name. to ensure that they, and what they did for us, is not forgotten.

FFA Was in charge of a consession stand during a boys basketball game. This helped raise money for our chapter and our schools athletic program!

To show appreciation, FFA put on a brat lunch for the teachers and staff in the building. We also put out houseplants that they could take!

Tuesday’s Dress up day was Denim Day! Many members, students, and staff participated.

Wednesday was our Anything But a Car day. We had 3 members drive tractors!

Every day the pig was hidden. STudents had to take a picture with it and send it to our social media to be entered into a drawing at the end of the week.

We ate at Beans & Barley Brews for lunch! First, the Kankakee County Farm Bureau talked about what they do and their Young Leaders program. Then, we enjoyed pizza and talked to members from other chapters. They gave us random seating

Our final stop was Interglobe Genetics. We learned about semen and egg collection, IVF, and genetics in beef and dairy cattle. They talked about their process, showed us where tubes are stored, let us meet livestock, and answered our questions. Coolers

Maya and Nate both got 1st in their respective SAE Proficiency Areas! It was held at JJC where they got iterviewed about their recordbooks.

The other half of our members presented to the 4th graders! They taught about designated topics, because a few presenters couldn't make it. It was a last minute surprise, and they all did a great job! Nate talked about cows digestive systems, Paityn+Erin talked about chicks, Tiffany+Tessa did Ag Jenga, and Maya spent half her time teaching the cow digestive system and the other half talking about corn!

We gave our Principal, Mrs. K, honorary membership this year. We recognized students with honor roll a scholarship pin, and all od the CDE participents.

Italian beef, salad, macaroni salad, chips, drinks, and cake were served. Guests won the centerpeiceflowers if there was a peice of streamer under their seat.
