2023-2024 Annual Report

2023-2024 Annual Report
St. Anne Catholic School is more than just a place of learning. St. Anne is a home. Here, our students, families, and staff come together as a close-knit community, grounded in faith and built on a foundation of Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge. Like a family, we nurture each other, celebrate successes, and walk together through challenges, always guided by the light of Christ.
Our school is a place where students feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow both academically and spiritually. Within these walls, lifelong friendships are formed and students are encouraged to explore their gifts and talents in a nurturing environment. It is where faith becomes a daily practice, not only in prayer and worship but in the way we treat one another, serve others, and strive to make a positive impact on the world.
At St. Anne, we believe that education extends beyond the St. Anne gateway. Like a home, it is a place of belonging where everyone has a role and every individual is cherished. Together, we are not just building strong students; we are building a strong, faith-filled family that will carry the values learned here into their lives beyond school.
I wanted to take a moment to share some of our accomplishments.
Early Childhood Department
This team successfully taught more than 120 students. These students learned to share, to use their words to ask for help, and be independent, while exploring their alphabet, how to count, and to read. More importantly, they also learned patience, as evidenced by field trips being rescheduled, not once but twice due to circumstances beyond everyone’s control.
Elementary Years
This team successfully taught close to 200 students. Students continued learning how to distinguish emotions and how we experience and express them. They learned about God’s love for us as they made their First Reconciliation and First Communion. The elementary team accomplished feats of learning and good sportsmanship. Addie Getschow and Alejandro Bravo were named the National Student Winners in the National Language Arts League Grade 4 Contest.
Middle School Grades
The team successfully taught more than 200 students. This group of students similar learning objectives as their friends in early childhood and elementary, but they also learned the art of being friendly when not everyone is your friend. They learned how to moderate their words and actions and how not to burn bridges. Some of the students learned that your reputation is a precious and fragile thing and that you do everything to protect it. Our 7th and 8th grade students, in particular, logged more than 3,000 hours of
community service. Our 5th grade ELA students ranked 2nd in the nation and our 8th grade ELA students ranked third in the nation on the National Language Arts League exams. In 7th grade, the students ranked 2nd in the nation and the 8th grade ranked 3rd in the nation on the National Social Studies League exam. 7th grader Weston Heard was named the national student winner in 7th grade National Social Studies League exam.
Aftercare Program
Over 200 students utilized our phenomenal after school program that allows students to socialize, finish homework, and enjoy after school programming.
Athletics Programs
We showed students the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, while being a good Christian and athlete. They took the lessons they learned in sportsmanship in their elementary years and applied them to the field or the court as junior high student athletes.
Faculty and Staff
We submitted more than 1,000 hours of works of mercy across our campus and in the greater archdiocese.
Our graduating class received scholarships from Phillips Academy Andover, St. Thomas High School, St. Agnes Academy, and Strake Jesuit Academy.
We are truly a campus of Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge. Everyday we live this cornerstone and it is evident that our hard work and dedication has paid off. Thank you for making our home a place where all are invited to grow in faith, knowledge, and grace.
Bless St. Anne Catholic School and the many people who advance our mission. May St. Anne be a home for those who seek to grow in openness, faith, love, intellect and commitment to justice. With Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge,
Dawn Martinez Principal,
St. Anne Catholic School
St. Anne Catholic School relies on generous donations to offset the annual operating expenses and make investments to improve the physical facilities. We would like to thank all those who donate to benefit Catholic education. St. Anne’s operating revenues and expenses for the fiscal years 2022 and 2023 respectively, are as follows:
SUPPORT
Tuition Assistance
Other Donations
Tuition & Fees
Notes:
(1) Total actual tuition and fees paid directly by the families of the students. The tuition revenue has been reduced by grants, scholarships, and all applicable tuition discounts (e.g. multi-child).
(2) Capital spending includes larger scale capital costs and investments undertaken by the school over time to enhance the school’s physical facilities and learning environment (e.g. classroom refurbishment, technology investments, roof replacement, etc.). Expenses in excess of the available current year’s operating revenues are covered by accumulated reserves from previous years.
A successful Annual Fund campaign is marked by strong community engagement, where parents, alumni, faculty, and friends unite in support of the school’s mission and future. This collective generosity enables St. Anne to fund key priorities such as academic programs, scholarships, faculty development, and campus improvements. The success of the campaign reflects a deep commitment to the school’s values and ensures the resources needed to provide exceptional education and meaningful student experiences, while fostering a sense of pride and unity among all community members.
for Standing Alongside St. Anne $363,000
Annual Fund Dollars Raised from Over 1,000 Gifts
The obvious hard work of the entire community to rally behind St. Anne is a true testament of our success in creating an award-winning school. Your Annual Fund gifts elevate the aspirations of our school and contribute to what WE believe is possible for students, and in turn, what THEY believe is possible for themselves. St. Anne is a blessed community committed to mission rooted Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge, all of which is supported by your success to the Annual Fund.
The St. Anne mission to provide a world-class education steeped in Catholic values is an ongoing endeavor. The support we receive from you during an Annual Fund campaign will continue to shape future St. Anne days.
The 2023-2024 Annual Fund campaign achieved tremendous success. Let’s celebrate the stats:
GDK Day, a giving day dedicated to the Annual Fund, kicked-off the campaign with record gifts and participation, raising over
As we celebrate last year’s successful campaign, you are invited to join St. Anne in supporting the 2024-2025 St. Anne Annual Fund campaign, where hands and hearts make GDK happen.

The Parent Leadership Committee, an integral part of the St. Anne Annual Fund, seeks to grow the Annual Fund participation rate among current parents through personal outreach and targeted communication. The committee boosts the Annual Fund’s profile and is instrumental in the campaign’s success. St. Anne is grateful for participation in a successful Annual Fund campaign.

Please consider making a leadership gift and join an Annual Giving Society. These gifts inspire others and create a strong foundation for the Annual Fund Campaign:
**Membership in the Principal’s Circle includes those who contribute a gift of $5,000 or larger to the St. Anne Annual Fund. *Gifts of $1,000 or larger receive invitations to an Annual Leadership Breakfast.
The 4th was strong at FIESTA thanks to the generosity of the St. Anne FIESTA sponsors, student and faculty raffle sellers, and community supporters! FIESTA season kicked-off with a ‘Rock Rally in the courtyard, where cheerleaders and Darth Shamrock led students in chants and cheers for a spirited raffle ticket campaign. FIESTA pep rallies recognize top sellers and students earn hats and visors by selling their eight raffle book quota. The eight week fundraiser encourages students and faculty to sell a quota (eight books) and become active fundraisers in supporting the St. Anne mission.
As a reward for an exciting raffle selling season, FIESTA culminates in FIESTA Fest, an epic parish-wide carnival with inflatables, games, cascarones, and food trucks. FIESTA Fest sponsors generously underwrite FIESTA Fest carnival games, rides, and inflatables so that the entire St. Anne community celebrates a day filled with fellowship and fun!
Thank you for supporting a beloved St. Anne tradition!
Your support of the St. Anne mission, raised over $70,000 in raffle ticket sales. FIESTA, like the Annual Fund, is critical to supporting the School’s operating budget. It is assurance that St. Anne is committed to making a Catholic school education affordable and accessible. For an incredible day of FUN and FUNdraising, thank you for supporting St. Anne like a Jedi!
Why is FIESTA so important to St. Anne? FIESTA is a beloved St. Anne tradition, where student raffle sales support a St. Anne Catholic School experience. When St. Anne students sell raffle tickets, they serve as active fundraisers on behalf of the school. FIESTA fundraising supplements the tuition gap, the actual cost to educate a child versus the tuition the school collects.
St. Anne Catholic School extends a big THANK YOU to all 2024 FIESTA sponsors and student raffle sellers. Without your support, FIESTA would not be possible!
