THIS IS ONE MUSTANG THAT I CAN HONESTLY SAY I CAN NOT STOP DRIVING!
This is “Stitch” aka XPR-626 and she is a 2020 Shelby GT500 in Ford Performance Blue. I am lucky enough to be her fourth owner. She is originally from Southern Texas, moved to Los Angeles, California, moved back to Northern Texas, then moved to New York City area (Jersey side), and now resides in beautiful south central Pennsylvania.
She has seen a lot of the country and now that she is in my garage, the world will see a lot of her! Hands down, this is the ultimate Mustang and just like Carroll Shelby preached, this car was meant to be driven so I am definitely enjoying the hell out of all of it, not just looking at it when it is clean! And YES, there is definitely a point at 7,000 RPM where everything fades. The machine does become weightless, just disappears, and all that is left is a body moving through space and time!
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
TriPro mirror dash cam to capture all of her adventures.
She is my third Mustang and by far the best. This is one Mustang that I can honestly say I can NOT stop driving! The only draw back... there is never enough gas to keep her on the road for long. She empties quick and so does my wallet to fill her back up!

This is STANG Magazine’s very own Project “Renegade” owned by Daniel Ramey. So a little about Renegade... she is a 2008 Mustang GT 4.6 L V-8 and is naturally aspirated. With a manual transmission and goodies from just about every major Mustang performance company out there, she is all badass and nothing short of pure awesome. She is actually a converted Mark III Mustang. Mark III Mustangs were designed by a company out of Virginia that would take a Mustang and add some very unique modifications.
As far as suspension, exhaust, and performance, Renegade is equipped with a K&N Typhoon cold air intake, Pypes long tube headers and catless XLT off road X pipe, Corsa Xtreme exhaust, Jegs one piece aluminum driveshaft with safety loop, McLeod sport clutch, UPR control arms, full AirLift bagged suspension, Baer drilled, slotted, and plated rotors and Decela pads, Whiteline front and rear sway bar kit with end links, and she is tuned to 93 Octane by VMP Performance.
Under the hood you will find a GT strut tower brace, upgraded Moroso air/oil separator, coolant expansion tank, and power steering tank, American Muscle running pony tower covers and plenum cover, Ford Racing hood props, and custom hydrodipped valve covers, radiator cover, battery cover, and other parts.
Renegade’s cockpit is fully equipped and modified to make any pony pilot grin from ear to ear. She has a Moroso/ Competition Engineering 10 point fully welded roll cage with swing out bar and subconnector frames, Corbeau racing seats with five point harnesses, Glow Shift pillar gauge pod and dash gauge pod, SCT tuner, Windrestrictor cus -
tom STANG logo illuminated wind restrictor, GT floor mats, arm rest cover, and shift knob, and custom chrome with red welt interior accents.
As far as exterior modifications, Renegade is sporting a Razzi ground effects body kit, Duraflex Aero 3” cowl hood and Eleanor bumper, American Muscle Raxiom smoked halo headlights and Vector smoked sequential tail lights, tinted windows and side markers, trunk lid panel, quarter window louvers, side scoops, custom STANG Magazine cobra Glassskinz rear window louver, and custom partial wrap by Inshane Designs. SHE IS A DREAM TO LOOK AT...
This is “Bombshell”, a 1970 Mustang Sportsroof with a 460 cubic inch Ford big block motor. Her original color was Yellow #3470-A before she was painted to this wicked Grabber Blue. She originally had a 302 2V motor with C4 transmission until she was upgraded with the 460ci big block motor and C6 transmission. She still maintains the original interior, front disc brakes, and manual steering.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING A MUSTANG OWNER...
What do I love about having a Mustang? | love that I am a woman driving a “man’s” car and killing the stereotype. The sound coming from within and the deep growl of the engine is absolutely breathtaking. The looks and stares that I get wherever I go is amazing, especially when they see it’s a female driving. The tinted windows make it hard to see whose driving which makes it all the better. I love being incognito.

ONCE IN A LIFETIME MOMENTS...
At some point in life, everyone has one of those “once in a lifetime” moments. Such was the case with Twizzler. A pristine, garage kept, 2012 Shelby GT500. Of course there were several thousand Shelby GT500s produced in 2012, so what makes this one that once in a lifetime moment? Easily the backstory behind it, and the way it found its way into my life. This car was won in a raffle (by a gentleman who bought one $25 ticket) back in 2012 at Carlisle Ford Nationals. He already had a beautifully restored 1965 Mustang so when he brought this one home, he put it in his garage. Short of starting it every couple of weeks, and taking it around the block once every month or so to keep it moving, the car sat there for almost a decade. When I was able to acquire the car back in March of 2021, the odometer had a reading of 264 miles! Essentially a 10 year old, brand new car.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. original window sticker as an added bonus. I’ve always had a passion for Mustangs since I was 16, and this one represents my fifth, and by far, my favorite.
I found out that the car was up for sale from a fellow Stang fan at Carlisle Ford Nationals in 2020, and as it turns out, it was sitting right in my home town the whole time. Pretty amazing turn of events. And a pretty amazing car as well. It is equipped with the SVT Package (suspension upgrade), Recaro Racing seats, and hand signed on the passenger side sun visor by Carroll Shelby. The previous owner even kept the

SOMETHING ABOUT IT JUST GRABBED ME...
So this is The Hellion. A name inspired by a song from one of my favorite hard bands from the 80s. And it was in the 80s when I started driving and got my first car. It was a 1973 Mustang Fastback, red of course, and my passion for Mustangs began at that point. For 40 years, I have never been without at least one pony in the stable.
One day, when just looking around to see what was out there, I ran across a 2002 Mustang GT that was being sold locally. Something about it just grabbed me. So I went to check it out and was sold on the spot. The previous owner had already done some work to it, so it gave me a great base to build off of. Not without its flaws of course, like any used car, but a great place to start.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. tangs over the years (decades), from a 1972 to 1992, to a 2000 to a 2012 GT500, and so on, but I’ve never held on to one as long as this one has been around. Something about the New Edge just gets me. We’ve been on many road adventures in this beast and it’s been some of the greatest memories of my life. I hope you all enjoy your ponies as much as I enjoy this one. Ride on!
Now I’m sure of the diehards will notice the Cobra emblems, and think “He said this was GT.” You would be correct. The previous owner had put Cobra badges on this GT, so I had two choices at that point. I could have changed the badges, but went the alternate route and found a 2004 Terminator motor and T56 6 speed transmission. In hindsight, it would have been a lot cheaper to just change badges on the car. But 10 years later, here we are. The front and rear suspension have been completely rebuilt, so it handles like a dream. It has a custom exhaust so it sounds crazy (hence Hellion). And a ton of other upgrades and modifications to it. I’ve had many Mus-

MY PASSION FOR MUSTANGS BEGAN WHEN I WAS 16...
My passion for Mustangs began when I was 16 years old. I have been working since I was 14 and saved money to buy my first car. It was a 71 Mustang Coupe. It had a 289 with many motor upgrades. I had several Mustangs since then with the latest one named Hades.
Hades is a 2012 Mustang GT Premium bought basically new with 7k miles on it. Hades has a 3.0L Whipple supercharger which has 702 hp at the wheels during a dyno tune. It is tuned by Rob Shoemaker Performance. Hades also has many suspension and drive line upgrades.

She has a cold air intake by Airaid, rear window louvers, Cervini ram air hood, Ford Boss 302 chin splitter, sequential projector headlights by Raxiom, tail lights by Raxiom, Saleen wheels, Borla Atak exhaust, and I will be adding much more to her as time goes on.
I only really fell in love with Mustangs and Mustang culture after meeting my husband Dave and my family I’ve met from STANG Magazine. Their passion and their own Mustangs showed me how to really love what you drive and all the fun you can have doing upgrades at home.

WAS TIME TO MAKE HER DREAM A REALITY...
What do you dream about? Money, seeing the world, or maybe being happy for once in your life? For Laura Mattern, her dreams included one day owning a Mustang. Since childhood, she was hooked with pony passion and would go to dealerships to collect Mustang brochures just to “dream.” Owning a Mustang has always been on her bucket list. Her kids are now grown and she no longer needs the “soccer mom” cars. Laura knew it was now time for the best. It was time to make her dream a reality and to go out and get that Mustang she always wanted.

Purchased on March 17, 2018, this beautiful Mustang is a 2018 Lightning Blue Ecoboost Premium Coupe with a Performance Package and Track apps. Nicknamed “P51”, this steed doesn’t gallop, it flies! Just like the infamous Mustangs that took to the air, this baby can turn, glide, and attack with precision.
Laura has equipped her Mustang with various mods including Anchor Graphics Stars and Bars, a running pony gas cap cover, rear window louvers, American Muscle graphics, Matte Black distressed flag quarter window decals, modern Billet stainless steel rocker panel trim with Mustang logos, etched running pony A/C vent trim covers, SB3 ceramic coating, MGP red brake caliper covers with Mustang tri-bar logos, and Drake Muscle fog light covers.
P51 is sleek in design, customized to her pilot’s preference, and ready to take off at any given notice. In P51, you will always find a very happy pilot behind the wheel giving flybys with a big thumbs up!

Charlotte was purchased in June, 2024 from another Mustang family member who wanted her to go to a good home. The former owner had moved and lost interest due to a tragic loss in the Mustang family. I purchased it and brought it back to its former glory.

Meet HAVOC II, a 2020 Mustang GT California Special #586 of 907, #70 of 110 in Iconic Silver Metallic. I’ve always been a big Mustang fan. I had a 1993 Mustang GT and loved that car but it didn’t meet my needs anymore so I found this one and absolutely loved it. I never liked the S550 body style but fortunately they grew on me. It has been the best Mustang I’ve ever owned and as you can tell, I like to put my own touches on my vehicles.
Havoc II now has a front chin splitter with support arms, Cervini Cobra R hood, SVE SP2 wheels, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, Red Brembos, and X Force exhaust. The interior is trimmed out in carbon fiber and a rear seat delete.
I’ve had this on the Daytona NASCAR Track, The Back Of The Dragon, The Rattler, and The Tail Of The Dragon, and many cruises!

I have always loved the Ford Mustang. From the older ones to the newer ones, they are all awesome. What really drew me in though was the 1969 Fastback. The long, mean, sexy body curves that year is not like any other ever offered. I believe that no other car could ever compare to the Mustang. It is the true muscle car and that is the way it will always be.
When I found my 2014 S197, the body style reminded me of the older Mustangs and it made me feel like Ford brought them back to life. The true straight-lined body style is one that I have grown to love. This car is perfect in every way and I drive it like I stole it!

IT IS A BASE BEAST WITH A BASELINE FOR DESTRUCTION...
Appearing in a cemetery on a stormy night laid Azrael. From the crypts of the cemetery, amongst the thick fog appeared in the shadows of what is to be known as Azrael. Where did it come from? Who is it? What is it? No one really knows. Created in the depths of hell. The agony of tortured souls laid the beast. Waiting for its next victim. Victims of misery, Victims of pain, Victims of the self-loathing, Victims of the desire of retribution, Victims are we all? As it creeps along the line of Life and Death, bringer the end, bringer of peace, bringer of Eternal Peace. Its decisions are its to make and it’s alone to follow through. No god nor entities shall control Azrael for they respect Azrael, the reaper. Through the depth of hell rose this beast and now it has been unleashed into this realm.

I am Azael.
Haunting various STANG Magazine haunts across the U.S. Azrael lingers in the shadows. Its appearance comes when the time it right, not when it is demanded. Demons run from it as heathens flock to it looking for salvation listening to the roar of all 8 cylinders through the AWE pipes, like the blow of the trumpet signaling the end of times. Its Grabber Blue offers the disenfranchised illusion of comfort when it brings chaos to those looking to tempt it. Nothing insidious in its build. It is a base beast with a baseline for destruction. It is this simplicity that makes it far more dangerous. It is a single entity riding in the storm, for it knows, life is but an illusion. Enemies

TRULY A JOY TO DRIVE...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
My favorite time to be on the road is twilight. The soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is just below the horizon. The soft glow from the dashboard lights. The radio is playing some forgotten song. It’s a time to relax and reflect. I often think of my dad around this time. He loved the sound of a big block engine with dual exhaust. The growl of the motor when the secondaries would kick in always brought a smile to his face. And that is where I also grew an appreciation for V8 engines. When it came to driving, he was a great teacher. Things like how to relax when driving, feathering the gas pedal, and slingshotting over a hilly highway just to name a few. The love of a V8 is turning in to a generational thing that I am proud to say I have passed on to my son.
I have owned three Mustangs over the years. One that I will not speak of, a 2005 Mustang GT, and my current 2018 Mustang GT. My current Mustang is truly a joy to drive. With the Performance Package on it, the car holds to the road. Taking it out on the highway for a trip, cruising 85 to 90, it just sails down the highway. Living in Maryland, there are a lot of back roads to explore. This car takes on the challenge with ease. It is not uncommon to take two to three hours to get home.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. FAST AND SASSY...
All of my life I have loved Mustangs, especially the convertibles. It was always my dream to own a Shelby GT500 convertible. When I retired from my career as a Pennsylvania Police Officer in 2018, the opportunity happened. My wife and I acquired our dream car from her father, the first owner.
This is Ginna, named after Jennifer’s grandmother who was fast and sassy just like this car. She is a 2012 Shelby GT500 Convertible in Silver Ingot Metallic and according to the Marti report, this car is a 1 of 8 with the options. Many awards have been won including some at the Carlisle Ford Nationals. We love attending car shows, cruises, and just taking it out for the fun of it.

SITTING IN THE LOT CALLING TO ME...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
It all started in 1965 with my mom’s friend who had a ‘64 T-bird. We loved going for rides in that car! Those bucket back seats were so cool! It evolved from here. I was immediately in love with cars. All kinds of cars, motorcycles, trucks and everything in-between. I’ve had all kinds of cars through the years, some foreign sports cars, some clunkers that I literally had to put my foot out to make it come to a complete stop! But my true love was the Mustang. It makes my heart race when I see one, ever since I was a kid.
I finally made my first Mustang purchase as a spur of the moment thing. I was having trouble with my truck and decided we needed to turn it in and get something more sensible as our daily driver. There it was, sitting in the lot calling to me. I was shopping for something like an SUV and something that saved me some gas since diesel fuel was getting too expensive. I was all ready to trade in the truck and I just couldn’t do it. I saw the low price on that pony and I dove in and kept both the truck and drove home that night with a cute little 2009 45th Anniversary Edition 6 banger Mustang with an automatic transmission.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Space 9 and the Defiant is the swift, handy, bad ass battleship that kicks ass. This car is the most generous of gifts given to me by my guy, Matt. I cannot thank him enough for making this dream come true for me.
I swiftly outgrew this fun little grocery getter and I upgraded to the 2014 GT Premium and finally to this beauty here, The Defiant. Why Defiant? Well this is a two faceted namesake. Partly because it suits my personality, and partly because it’s a nerdy wet dream. She is themed for the TV series Deep

The car started for me as a daily driver 4 cylinder that averaged 31 miles to the gallon to cruise in back and forth to work, not to mention the occasional beach trips where my daughter and I could enjoy the weather and scenery with the top down. We called the Mustang “The Goumada.” I linked up with a couple of people who wanted to start a car club and we named our group the Beltway Mustangs Club.
We hung out in a random parking lot talking about our cars and what mods were next. My first rendition of my Mustang was of course “Murdering” it out by blacking out everything I could, but every other black Mustang looked like mine. For the second rendition, we laid out a Matte Gunmetal Grey custom stripe down the hood, lowered the front end 1 inch, and put 19 inch SVE wheels that matched the stripe, but it didn’t get the appreciation I felt it needed.
The third exterior rendition and possibly final one has a Roush front bumper that we sanded down, had the textured pieces paint matched Shadow Black, added Raxiom headlights, Raxiom LED projector fog lights, Raxiom TriBar LED turn signals, added an Avery Dennison ColorFlow Roaring Thunder custom Stripe to accent the Cervini 4 inch cowl hood, ran the stripes down the fender to her extended running boards and had “1ConusedEco” embossed under it, and replaced the stock little spoiler with a GT350 spoiler. The engine and transmission has been tuned by Adam at Tune+, added an upgraded WGA, MAP street intercooler, recirculating BOV, larger intake tube, MAP 3 inch down pipe, and MAP 3 inch exhaust out to the quad tip GT350 valance. The car sits with BC coilovers, Dark Grey 20 inch Vossen VFS 10 inch wide
fronts with 11 inch wide rear wrapped in BF Goodrich tires, and was upgraded to Brembos for stopping power. The interior is a Dark Saddle that blends with a Roaring Thunder stripe beautifully which we carried in through the dash, added an original GT350 steering wheel, and upgraded to the SYNC 3.
The car is a daily and just turned 120K miles! We’ve met so many people who we now call family and have had the most amazing adventures with our club. We can’t wait to see what is next!

OF THE BEST DECISIONS I’VE EVER MADE...
I’ve been into muscle cars most of my life since growing up with a brother who owned many classic cars during my high school years. My very first car was a 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula that I purchased after high school. I’ve also owned a 1988 Camaro RS which I had purchased in the early 90s.
I purchased my Mustang July 2016 just on a whim as I had my truck in for service and decided to go out on the lot and look at cars and then I saw the newer Mustangs which I really liked. I think the S550 body style is what caught my eye. I can say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because I’ve met so many awesome people in the Mustang community. I could not be happier with all the friends I have made from owning a Mustang.

I’VE HAD IT EVER SINCE...

My affinity for the Mustang started at 16 when a neighbor brought home a Black 84 GT. Two years later | bought a 86 Mustang and drove it until our family was too big for it. Move ahead 16 years and I’m back in a Mustang. I brought home a 2002 GT and I’ve had it ever since. I’ve done many mods over the years and had it repainted Mineral Grey with Magnetic Grey trim and happily named it Greyhound. It was named in honor of the Destroyers I served on in the Navy for 20 years. Greyhound is a daily driver and is now pushing 180K miles.
STANG Magazine is all about love of the Mustang. Doesn’t matter what year or what kind you own, once you are in you are family. We love spending our weekends going on adventures with the Fam!

I KNEW RIGHT THEN I WOULD HAVE ONE...
My Stang the Red Baron is, so far, the last of many...
My obsession started shortly after my 10th birthday, while driving to the bowling alley with my sister. I looked up and saw a new billboard. There it was, bigger than life. The new MUSTANG by Ford. I knew right then I would have one of those cars someday. I wasn’t wrong. I’ve had several Mustangs since I’ve been old enough to drive. Over the years, my love for them has only grown.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Presently l am the proud owner of the Red Baron, a 2019 Race Red GT/CS Convertible. I named it after the WWI German Fighter Pilot Ace. I have always had an interest in him and read a lot about his history. Red car, it just seemed to fit, ya know?
Modifications include rear spoiler with gurney flap, light bar, shifter knob, tail light covers, front wings, hood scoop, hood vents, hood stripes, hood struts, strut tower covers, dash kit, emblems, and decals. All of the mods were done by my wife Joanie and myself. I have shown her the joys of modifications and now she’s adding stuff to her new Bronco Sport.

ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST POPULAR...
I have always had an affinity for the old Mustangs but appreciate and admire the newer generations and history of the Mustang.
The STANG Magazine organization has afforded me the opportunity to continue my passion and meet people with the same passion for the Mustang. STANG Magazine brings people together and the events it sponsors are nothing short of great fun and fellowship.
New or old, the Mustang has a long history of being one of the best and most popular sports cars in the world.

THERE IS NEVER A DULL MOMENT...
Scott Bieber has owned this 1965 Mustang for 9 years. He is the third owner and the gentleman he purchased it from owned it for over 40 years. The 65 is a true survivor that still has the original sheetmetal, paint, interior and driveline. It also sports vintage 1965 Western Wheels aluminum slots, vintage Offenhauser intake with vintage Holley carb. The exhaust flows through vintage tri-y headers.
Nicklas Bieber, Scott’s son, owns this beautiful 2001 Mustang GT that doesn’t have many options, but he bought this car as a daily driver so his show car, a 2000 Mustang, wouldn’t be used as much as it is a tribute to his mom who passed away.
STANG Magazine started out as a group of Mustang enthusiasts wanting to preserve Mustang history and culture. Over time this group has transformed into a family. What we like about STANG Mag is the family that we have become. The events we participate in range from car shows to historical places, which makes for excitement, fun, and there is never a dull moment.
We couldn’t ask for a better group of family/friends to share Mustang culture with.
