STANG Magazine October 2026 Issue

Page 1

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

MY FAVORITE THING TO DO IS TO CRUISE...

This is my 2016 Mustang GT nicknamed “MSASTER.” She has a performance pack and 6 speed manual.

I ordered her and she is exactly how I wanted her. Not bought off the lot or show room. Window sticker has my name on it.

My favorite this to do is to cruise Woodward Ave., especially during the week of the Woodward Dream Cruise. Most exciting thing was getting pulled over by the Bullet County, Kentucky Sheriff doing 90 in a 70 and due to COVID 19, court was shut down so the ticket was destroyed.

SCARLETT - 2021 MUSTANG

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

EQUIPPED WITH THE ECOBOOST...

Here is my 2021 Mustang Premium in Rapid Red, which is a brighter red metallic color. I call her Scarlett. It is factory equipped with the Ecoboost High Performance Package, which upgrades the standard Ecoboost engine as well as a whole lot of other factory mods to the suspension, cooling system, and exterior. It is also equipped with the Handling Package which upgrades the wheels, tires, and includes Magneride. It is basically a Mach 1 with a factory HiPo turbo engine. Most Mustang fans have no clue about the HPP factory package.

Other options include the B&O premium sound with a subwoofer. It has about 12000 miles on it and is only driven in nice weather conditions. I am an Automotive School Instructor and an ASE certified mechanic who has been in the automotive field since a young teenager. My passion for Mustangs began when a friend of mine from high school had a 67 convertible. I used to look at Mustang magazines and dream of owning a ‘68 K code or a ‘69 GT500 convertible.

I LOVE MY MUSTANG...

My name is Michael Miller. I have a 2009 Mustang GT 45th Anniversary Edition. I have done a lot of work to it.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. It is equipped with a cold air intake, Bama SET Rex tuner, front strut bar from BMR and rear shock brace bar, Shelby straight exhaust no mufflers, MST iridium spark plugs, and blue Accel super coils.

I have also done upgrades in the interior and added custom satin finish parts all throughout with a Sony touchscreen radio.

I’ve also added OE design wheels out of Daytona, Florida. They are cobra R replicas. I also have halo LED headlights and LED fog lights.

I take a lot of pride in my vehicle. I love my Mustang.

SHE IS A PAPAW’S GIRL...

My name is Timothy Power and this is my 2006 Mustang GT nicknamed “Paw Patrol GT” for my granddaughter. It is tuned for 93 octane and has long tube headers and 3” tips.

I love my Mustang GT because it represents power, style, and personality all in one car. The aggressive look, the sound of the engine, and the feeling you get when you press the gas make every drive exciting. It’s not just transportation, it’s something I take pride in and enjoy showing off at car meets and events.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. My Mustang GT reflects my passion for cars and the work I’ve put into making it my own. Every time I see it or drive it, it reminds me why I fell in love with it in the first place. The design on the car is for my 3 year old granddaughter. She loves Paw Patrol and it’s all for her cause she is a papaw’s girl.

I DROVE HOME ALL SMILES!

My name is Sandy Zawistoski and these are my Mustangs. My 2014 I found at Ferrando’s Dealership during LEMOC Round Up all Mustang Show. I saw the Mustangs for sale in a line and walked over and saw the only convertible, a Deep Impact Blue Metallic. I fell in love with it. Two days later I went to Ferrando’s to take it for a test ride and the Mustang was not in the lot! My heart dropped. Someone had it out for a drive. I went back later and found it. During the drive it handled great! When I went back to the dealership I asked the salesman if they took a corvette as a trade. He said yes. I gave him a deposit and returned the next day. We made a deal and I drove home all smiles!

My 2020 was an unbelievable ride! So smooth, fast, and so much technology! I traded my 4 wheel drive in for my second Mustang! Both of my Stangs are called “Mustang Sandy.” The 14 lives in Florida and the 20 is my Erie Stang!

We know several people that play in different bands around the Erie area. When we go to listen to them, they will play “Mustang Sandy.” Sometimes the crowd will sing “Mustang Sandy!” What a great time!

TURNING EVERY DRIVE INTO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL...

The day my wife handed me the keys to my 2012 Competition Orange Ford Mustang Boss 302 is a moment that will stay with me forever. It wasn’t just a car - it was her way of showing how deeply she understands me, my passions, and the things that make me feel alive. As an anniversary present, it went far beyond anything material; it symbolized years of love, support, and shared dreams. The bold color, the unmistakable rumble of the engine, and the legacy behind the Boss 302 all came together in a way that felt almost surreal. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded not only of the machine itself, but of the thought and care she put into choosing something so perfectly aligned with who I am.

Over time, the car has become more than just a vehicle or even a prized possession - it represents a connection between my love for performance and the life we’ve built together. When I drive it, I feel a sense of pride and freedom, but also gratitude. It’s a reminder that competition isn’t just about speed or power, but about striving to be better, to push limits, and to appreciate the people who stand beside you through it all. My Mustang embodies that spirit, blending adrenaline with emotion, and turning every drive into something meaning-

ful. In many ways, it reflects both my personal drive and the strength of my relationship, making it truly irreplaceable.

My name is Wendy Moore. I got this beautiful girl in February. It was my birthday gift from my boyfriend. She is named “Wild Cherry” and she is a 1999 Mustang.

She has a five year ceramic coating and tinted windows completed by Redline Detailing. I also added seat covers. I will baby this Mustang like there is no tomorrow.

When I was 17, my dad bought me a Mustang. It was an 87. I loved it and since then have loved Mustangs.

OTHERS CREATE LASTING MEMORIES...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

This is a 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 that we call “Animal.” It is Oxford White with a 5-Speed Manual. Some cars are purchased. Others become part of the family story. Animal is firmly the latter.

My dad originally purchased the car in 2007 with just 2,689 miles on the odometer. Practically brand new, the Mach 1 quickly became a centerpiece of our family’s automotive passion. Over time, a handful of tasteful modifications were added to enhance the car’s character without overshadowing what made the Mach 1 special from the factory. Powder-coated valve and coil covers dress the engine bay, while Ford Racing 4.10 gears, Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers, and a short-throw shifter sharpen the car’s performance and driving experience. A set of aggressive AFS 10.5-inch rear wheels completes the look, giving the car a stance that perfectly matches its personality.

For me, this Mach 1 represents more than just a car. It’s where I learned to drive a manual transmission and where my passion for Mustangs truly took hold. Growing up, I listened to my dad’s stories about the Mustangs he had owned, raced, and loved. Those stories helped shape my enthusiasm for the brand long before I ever owned one myself.

That legacy came full circle two years ago when my parents added a 1970 Mach 1 to their collection. Around that same time, ownership of Animal passed to me, with the odometer reading just 21,689 miles.

Today, the car isn’t a daily driver. Without storage of my own, Animal resides at my parents’ facility, where it’s carefully maintained and brought out to be enjoyed when the opportunity

arises - exactly how a car like this should be treated.

Over the years, the Mach 1 has earned recognition at numerous shows, including two Best in Class awards, along with Police Choice, People’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice, and several additional top honors. While work commitments don’t always allow me to attend as many events as I’d like, one thing has remained consistent: whenever Animal appears, it draws attention. Some cars simply make noise. Others create lasting memories. Animal does both.

I ENJOY EVERY BIT OF ITS CRAZINESS...

My name is Ben Kindred and this is my 1990 Mustang GT. My car has been featured in the Mustang book by Robert Kennedy called Unbridled.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

My car’s nickname is Black Sunshine but most associate it with Foxbody Addicts, a Facebook group I started in 2012 because at the time, there weren’t any Foxbody specific groups. I initially bought an 88 Mustang GT because I found one I couldn’t stop thinking about in 2010. It was no prize piece but I have wanted a Foxbody for as long as I can remember. Some dream cars may be Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche etc… mine was a Foxbody. It had to be black and had to be a GT. What I bought was primer grey and I may have been a little too excited when I made that choice. The body was very rough and needed more work than my skillset and budget would allow. It did have a strong drive train though! After starting to modify things under the hood and changing the interior to black, I revisited the body work idea and found my current 1990 in 2014. It was a black GT that needed very little body work but was a roller at best. No drive train, not a great interior and needed additional work. I swapped everything usable from axles to the center console over to the new body - which worked out better anyway as the black interior I had in my 88 was made for the later models anyway.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. manual valve body that is controlled by a Holley Terminator X. I am still absolutely in love with this car and I enjoy every bit of its craziness. It was not an easy or quick build but was worth every penny and every drop of sweat and blood that I have poured into it. I have no plans to ever stop working on it.
