MARCH

2022 EDITOR’S CHOICE

M A G A Z I N E

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

LIFE’S INTERCONNECTED JOURNEYS Our journey through this life is often interconnected, without us even realizing it. When we meet people in a certain timeframe of our life, we show each other a snapshot of our past and present life experiences. Those past experiences are an amalgamation that shaped who we currently are. Sometimes it’s a death that brings

Aurora seemed fitting because the green and blue wrap looked like the Aurora Borealis lights. Never in a million years would I have guessed that this car would bring such an adventure. I found myself going to a couple of car shows. Once I got a couple of wins, I was hooked. Since the full-body wrap was placing me in the modified categories, I decided to dive into the idea of modifying my car more. This led me to make an Instagram account, Aurora_5.0, documenting the transformation and adventures I have with Aurora. Aurora is fully wrapped with matching accents on the dash and under the hood. On Jan 12, 2020, the day after I turned 53 years old, I went to meet George and see his classic car. It was love at first sight. It had a 351 Windsor engine, the interior was impeccable, and the body and paint job were gorgeous. I couldn’t even take it out for a ride as the roads were snow covered, but I wanted it regardless. Two months later, a few days before the COVID pandemic was declared in Canada, George delivered my Mustang to my home. I’ll never forget that image of George pulling up in front of my home. The car looked incredible and I have never smiled so genuinely or intensely for so long in my whole life. It was surreal.

My local Ford dealer had a couple in stock and one day after work I decided to go look at one. They had a Race Red Performance Pack GT, six speed on the lot that I drove and need not say anymore. I was hooked all over again except even more. What an adrenaline rush when accelerating through the gears! So needless to say I said goodbye to the 2008 and came home with the 2012. But, I couldn’t keep it stock. I had to customize it to my tastes and “Sinister Red” was born. I have owned the 2012 ever since. My stepdad and I have progressively modified it over the years of my ownership as my budget would allow to where “Sinister Red” is today. In 1911, Dr. Samuel Dixon received 500 acres of donated land in which to build the Cresson State Tuberculosis Sanatorium (also known as Allegheny Tuberculosis Sanatorium). Children were admitted to the sanatorium for treatment as early as 1915 and existed until 1950, when it was converted into a general hospital area for adults. In June of 1956, the site became the Lawrence Flick State Hospital (also known as Allegheny State Hospital). The site was renamed to Allegheny State School and Hospital in 1964 and Cresson Center in 1970. Cresson Center ceased operation in December 1982 and in 1984 the site was renovated to become a medium security prison facility for men known as SCI Cresson. On Saturday April 23, STANG Paranormal will be exploring the Cresson Sanatorium overnight from midnight to 8:00 am. We want to see this place in person and see just how haunted it
