MAGAZINE

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

WE ARE NOT JUST A CAR CLUB, WE ARE FAMILY.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

The Roc City Mustangz (RCM) was established by current Club President Chris Washington in March of 2011. The RCM was formed with its main purpose to foster an environment of friendship with like-minded Mustang enthusiasts. Chris schedules events throughout the year geared toward family fun and entertainment and not all are Mustang specific. Events such as Date Nights for couples, Movie Nights, Wine Tours, and Game Nights, in addition to scheduled Cruises, Car Shows, Club Picnic, Christmas Party, etc.. The group is very active with deep ties to their local community and believe in the motto of “we are not just a car club, we are family.“ Chris personally is the father of three grown sons 34, 31, and 29 and the Grandfather to 3 grandsons 13, 11, and 9. He still loves to play basketball every weekend, is an avid bowler, and loves video games. Chris is the owner of a 2015 Mustang GT with a 150 shot of NOS aka “The Wolf.”

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

Chris L. DeCorte joined the ROC City Mustangz four years ago with the goal of joining a group of like-minded Mustang enthusiasts. He was quickly promoted to Vice President by RCM founder Chris Washington (“The Prez”) where he focuses on promoting local events, marketing, advertising, securing local, regional, and national sponsorships, IT, and evaluating local charities for annual donations on behalf of RCM. Chris is an avid traveler, entrepreneur, business owner, veteran, and husband of 30 years.

THE BUILD WAS DONE IN HONOR OF MY FATHER...

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

This is my 1967 Mustang GT Fastback that I call “Black Stallion.” The car was fully restored in 2016 and completed in about six months including engine rebuild.

The build was done in honor of my father, Russell V. DiBella, who also owned a 1967 Fastback as well as my love for this iconic car. Sadly, he passed away in September 2011 due to cancer.

The car was restored from the ground up and every nut and bolt was replaced as well as all suspension, brake booster, rotors, calipers, hoses, brake lines, fuel lines, front and rear shocks, rear end replaced axles, bearings, center section, springs, exhaust, wheels, tires, complete interior, upgraded stereo and speakers, and subwoofer.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no.
