EDITOR’S CHOICE

MAGAZINE FEBRUARY 2025

MAGAZINE

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! -

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

This is “Black Betty”, my 2019 Mustang GT. This car is perfect in every possible way!

It is equipped with a Whipple supercharger, Kooks headers, Tremec Magnum XL, Steeda X pipe, and Boundary oil pump gears.

As far as Mustang passion, my fiance Jessica and I just love being in the Stang. We love car shows and car meets. A lot of memories have been made in the car like driving on the Daytona Speedway.

SHE’S READY TO START THE SEASON OUT RIGHT...

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

My 2015 Roush Stage 2 Mustang GT was solid black when I purchased it in July 2022. The only hint of color was the red lettering on the Brembo calipers. I’ve always been partial to the color combination of red and black. I almost added green accents but I had a black and red Subaru WRX referred to as the Black Widow so I wanted to upgrade the Black Widow to a far more aggressive appearance. My wheels were turning and my visions for modifications were soon to come to life.

I took my ideas to a good friend and graphic designer, Jeremy Griffin, owner of Griff’s Garage, who added the red spears on the hood and rear quarter panel stripes, along with the Black Widow II in Gothic lettering along the sides of the hood spears. In addition to the stripes, he also created an embossed spider on the hood scoop. One of those catch it at the right angle kind of subtleties. I later had another idea to create the Roush logo to cover my roof. The color combo was now complete! I initially wanted to maintain the traditional Roush build as to not take away from the Roush brand, but anyone who mods their cars, knows there’s never really a boundary. So I went on to add a few more details including a swap out for gloss black 20” wheels with a finishing touch of the Roush logo on the cen-

ter caps, 1” lowering springs by Steeda, 1” spacers, a front splitter and strut rods by Liquivinyl, and a swap out from the original brushed nickel Roush badges to custom 5.0 Roush Performance badges made by BadgeKing. Now, she’s ready to start the season out right and she rides as beautiful as she looks!

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!

I FINALLY HAVE MY FAVORITE CAR WHICH IS NAMED AFTER MY FAVORITE MARVEL CHARACTER...

This is my 2012 Ford Mustang GT/CS called “CARNAGE.”

Ever since I was a kid I wanted a Mustang. When I finally got old enough to drive I wasn’t aloud to have a Mustang.

I finally got my first Mustang about six years ago and once I got that I was instantly a full Mustang guy. I then sold that one and got a 06 Mustang GT. Then traded that and got a 5.0, my dream Mustang in my favorite year.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I haven’t had any thoughts of parting with it. Mod after mod and still building it up and loving it more and more every day.

It is #109 out of 302 in Race Red 2012 Mustang GT/CS. I wouldn’t trade this for anything. I finally have my favorite car which is named after my favorite Marvel Character“CARNAGE.”

Mods include BMR lowering race springs, MGW short throw shifter, upgraded transmission, new clutch and clutch line rated 950 hp, aftermarket cold air intake, racing harnesses

FAITH - 2021 MACH 1

IT WAS FAITH THAT EVERYTHING WORKED OUT.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

This is my 2021 Mustang Mach 1 Premium with a 5.0L, 480 HP, 10-Speed Automatic Trans, in the color Fighter Jet Gray, and with Ebony Recaro Leather seats.

It also has the optional equipment factory installed Mach 1 handling package – 19x11 rear, 19x10 front wheels, adjustable front struts, performance rear spoiler, 3.55 Torsen rear axle, Mach 1 Elite package – AM/FM CD AND HD Radio with B&O sound system, 12 speakers, and Mach 1 appearance package – Mach 1 hood stripe, side stripe, and Black/ Orange stripes.

I have also installed and removed hood prop rods, installed Ford Performance gas struts, high flow air filter, lower chin splitter, and under body trailer tie-downs.

I owned a 2012 Mustang GT 5.0L with engine, exhaust, and suspension mods and a friend had been wanting to buy it for months so I finally sold him my car. I just could not go without a toy so I started researching and found this 2021 Mach 1 in an Illinois Ford dealership. After many photos and videos, we made a deal and I purchased it and they delivered it to my house. It was faith that everything worked out. The car has been great and is everything I wanted.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

NAMED AFTER MY WIFE’S GRANDMOTHER WHO WAS SASSY AND FAST JUST LIKE THIS CAR.

All my life I loved Mustangs. Especially the convertibles. It was always my dream to own a Shelby GT500 convertible. When I retired from my career as a Pennsylvania Police Officer in 2018 the opportunity happened. My wife and I acquired our dream car from her father, the first owner.

We are now the very proud owners of “Gina”, named after my wife’s grandmother who was sassy and fast just like this car. This is our rare 2012 SVT Shelby GT500 Convertible in Silver Ingot Metallic. We love it and hope you do too!

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

My Mustang started life as a 2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium, for the most part it is still in that configuration. Factory equipped with the 5.0 V8, rated at 460 hp and the 6-speed manual transmission. My Mustang is finished off in Ruby Red tint and black cloth interior with factory 19” powder coated black wheels.

Some modifications include a Ford Racing Performance clutch kit and Ford Racing Performance lowering struts which lowered it about 1 1/2” to give it a more aggressive stance and better road handling capabilities. To assist with a more aggressive stance and a wider foot print, one inch Ford Performance wheel spacers have been added. The exhaust system has been replaced with a complete Borla Atak system giving it an angry in your face sound and a little performance boost. There is also a Roush air intake system installed and a small tune, boosting the horsepower number to 505 hp. The front of my Mustang has been treated to a Shelby style grille and a more aggressive front air splitter. I will be changing the grille out for an RTR inspired grille and I’ll also be replacing the front air splitter. The rear of my Mustang has been treated with a Shelby style GT350 inspired decklid spoiler, a lower air diffuser, and it has been badge deleted with a carbon fiber decklid panel. There are also carbon fiber hood inserts to replace the factory color matched ones.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. MOOD...

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

My car is an absolute joy to drive. My Mustang is the machine that I can flog through the gears and she takes it and wants more. I have named my Mustang Jezebell. I’ll be honest, owning a Mustang was a dream car I didn’t think I’d have the chance to own until I retired, but the stars aligned and I was able to make that dream come true about 25 years ahead of schedule. There is truly something about these cars that can completely change your mood and outlook on your day just by going for a drive.

I BOUGHT IT JUST FROM THE PHOTOS THAT I SAW.

This is my 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 named “Just E Nuff.” I bought this Mustang for my retirement from civilian work and Army National Guard. I bought it just from photos that I saw. When I got it, I knew what I had to do.

First thing I did was took it to my friend’s shop to go over it and give me a list of what had to be done. They gave me the list (3pages) and I told them to start. Then I went engine shopping where I bought a motor from Performance Unlimited. It was a 351w with 420 hp. Then I bought a street and strip c-4 trans from Transmission Specialties and then the 9 inch rear with 3:50 gears. After the car was done, it needed some body work which was done by Surfside in Brick, NJ.

I’ve had so much fun with this stang. Back in 2014, I had the engine done over by Proformance and it is now a 427 with 580 hp. The rear was changed to 3:70 posi rear. This car has won many awards in New Jersey including a bunch at the Wildwood Boardwalk Classic.

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!

I have had two other Mustangs in my life. One was a 1967 390 hp and the other was a 1970 Boss 302. Hands down, I have had the most fun with this one.

I INHERITED THE CAR AND SHIPPED IT BACK TO OHIO...

This is my 1968 Mustang Fastback in Sunlit Gold that spent its life in Arizona. It was purchased by my Father in 1978 for a mere $800 with a blown engine! Dad rebuilt the engine and drove it on occasion for years until 2000 when he decided to fix things up further. A new period correct 302 was installed as well as most of the interior. Sadly Dad passed in 2011. I inherited the car and shipped it back to Ohio and had the car painted in the original color and did further upgrades. I will keep it forever.

TITAN - 2012 BOSS 302

IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

This is my 2012 Mustang Boss 302 #0268, nicknamed “Titan.“ My name is Graham. I’m English and have been living in Lethbridge AB Canada since 2015. When I first started looking for a nice car, I wanted a challenger and I had a huge dislike for the Mustang and the culture that surrounded the car but that changed on the day I test drove both a Challenger and Mustang and fell in love with the Mustang so I bought my first which was a 2016 5.0 GT base in Race Red. I loved it and had that one for two years then traded it for a brand new 2019 5.0 GT mid spec in Velocity Blue and kept her for just over four years. Seeing as she had become a weekend toy, I wanted something special in its own right and so in November 23 I traded her for Titan my 2012 Boss 302 in Blaze Yellow. It was love at first sight. I’m now a Mustang enthusiast full stop. I love them all so now along with the Boss, I also have a 2008 V6 Pony Edition. My Boss is no longer stock for which some may not like but for me, I do. It is a special car and has been treated as such all its life by the previous owner who installed most of the mods on the car. The car is tuned but still NA which I prefer and it also retains all the red key functions that ford coded in. It’s a car I’ll never sell. It is me in a car - bold, brash, and can be in your face.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Mods include a JLT oil separator, Cervinis CAI, APR Racing LS style front splitter, American Racing AR920 blockhead wheels 20s with Falken Azenis FK510 tires, BBK longtube headers, BBK X-pipe, Roush axle backs, Eibach sportline springs, Whiteline adjustable panhard bar and brace, tuned by Lakeview Automotive to 443 rwhp, and upgraded Brembo drilled and grooved discs.

WOW TOP BID!

This is my wife’s 1998 Mustang GT with a 4.6L, 225hp/290lbft toque, and is completely factory stock. The mileage shows 53156. It has the stock radio, AM/FM cassette player, all Ford exhaust, and the only change I see is after market wheels.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I purchased this from Mecums Auctions. I went to the auction with a friend for him to buy a car but it didn’t work out so as we were leaving I saw this Red Mustang with the top down, I told my friend that my wife always wanted a convertible so bid on it. WOW top bid! I did all the paperwork and drove it home to surprise my wife and then the question hit. What color is the top? I don’t know, never looked. Does the A/C work? I don’t know, never checked.

We have had the car for about two years now and it has been a great daily cruiser. Everything works as it is should.

IT WAS SOMETHING WE COULD DO TOGETHER...

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. My passion for Mustangs started when my son showed me this car at our local dealership. It was something we could do together while he was in the USMC. The design ideas for the mods are a combination of both of us. He has bought his own Mustang GT PP1 as our passions have grown. The car name was derived from the addition of the Pro Charger. Twistedup5.0 is still a work in progress and I attend many local and national events with her. I would like to thank Austin Blanchard and Preaux Tuning for the power she makes and as we make future power mods to her. Also a special thanks goes out to Randy’s All Pro Ceramic Coating, Lake Area Powder Coating, Besties Custom T-Shirts, and Pro-Teck Audio for all the help on this car.

Mods include a P1X Stage II Pro Charger System (producing “Here Kitty Kitty Power”), SVE 350 Wheels, Cervini Cobra R Style Hood with Custom Paint, Custom Stereo 12” Kicker sub in Ported enclosure, Cervini Upper and Lower Grilles, 1” Ford Performance Lowering Springs, Flowmaster “Outlaw” Exhaust system, and Opt 7 Underglow LED lights.
