SAC School Profile 2026

Page 1

For more than 125 years, St. Andrew’s College (SAC) has prepared young men to thrive at university and beyond through an educational experience that is intentionally rigorous, deliberately balanced, and deeply rooted in character.

FAST FACTS Established 1899 Grades 5-12

As one of Canada’s largest independent boarding and day schools for boys in Grades 5-12, we believe that academic achievement is only part of a student’s preparation for success. Our students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, lead with integrity, compete with humility, and contribute meaningfully to the communities around them. These qualities are developed every day through a demanding curriculum and a school culture that values leadership, service, athletics, the arts, and global citizenship alongside academic excellence.

650+ students

The result is graduates who are exceptionally well prepared for the intellectual demands of university, and who possess the independence, resilience, curiosity, and sense of purpose to make an immediate and lasting contribution beyond campus.

ENGAGE GLOBALLY

A rigorous university-preparatory curriculum challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively, and solve complex problems. Through Advanced Placement courses, AP Capstone, experiential learning, engineering and design, and independent research, students develop the intellectual confidence to thrive at university and beyond.

Students are challenged to lead with integrity, responsibility, and purpose every day. Whether through student government, boaring leadership, athletics, community service, or leadership programming, boys learn that leadership is measured by positive impact.

Learning extends well beyond the classroom. Through more than 80 co-curricular clubs, leadership opportunities, and enrichment experiences, including robotics, debate, Model UN, investment club, coding, outdoor education, and the arts, students discover their passions while building resilience, creativity, teamwork, and confidence.

Students broaden their understanding through an internationally diverse community and meaningful global learning experiences. From SASSAW service trips to academic expeditions, historical study tours, and cultural exploration, they develop the empathy, adaptability, and global perspective needed to lead in an interconnected world.

Academic excellence begins with curiosity

Leadership is developed through experience and service

Every experience is an opportunity to grow

Dedicated to the development of the complete man, the well-rounded citizen.

Perspective is gained by experiencing the world

Developing the Complete Man Universities seek students who will contribute to their campus communities as scholars, leaders, teammates, innovators, and engaged citizens. At St. Andrew’s, these qualities are developed intentionally through a balanced educational experience that challenges students academically, encourages meaningful participation beyond the classroom, and fosters personal growth through leadership, service, athletics, the arts, and global experiences.
