Stamford College has become one of only a handful of Further Education providers in the UK to install a Virtalis Virtual Reality wall, having received funding from the Department for Education for the Greater Lincolnshire Area. The cutting-edge technology will revolutionise the College’s educational offering across all curriculum areas, as students explore virtual worlds of unprecedented realism.
The Virtual Reality wall will be programmed to facilitate interactive learning across a host of Inspire Education Group’s Further and Higher Education courses. Users can manipulate objects, embark on virtual field trips and conduct experiments, all within the confines of the dedicated classroom.


History students may explore ancient ruins, or watch on as historical events unfold in the metaverse, or those studying the Sciences may practise intricate scientific procedures, whilst Engineering and Construction students can design and assemble complex builds, all without the associated time, costs, and physical limitations of doing so in real life.

STAMFORD AND PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE HAIR & BEAUTY STUDENTS SHOWCASE SKILLS IN ASSOCIATION OF HAIRDRESSERS AND THERAPISTS COMPETITION FINAL

The Association of Hairdressers & Therapists (AHT) Student Competition is a highly anticipated event in the world of hair and beauty, serving as a platform for young, aspiring stylists and beauticians to showcase their expertise across a host of categories. After their successes in the regional heats, hosted at Stamford College’s Borderville facility, students from Inspire Education Group’s Stamford College and Peterborough College progressed to compete in the Final at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool last month.

UCP AND ISLAH HOST COMMUNITY & SOCIAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE

University Centre Peterborough in conjunction with the Institute for Social Policy, Leadership and Advancement of Humanity (ISLAH), hosted a Community & Social Research Conference last week, which offered insight into the current and future direction of community and social research being undertaken in the Peterborough area.
As a Higher Education provider and research hub, University Centre Peterborough was the ideal location for hosting the conference. The event commenced with an opportunity to network and enjoy refreshments, before Claire Swales, HE Manager of the Arts, Social Science & Student Support at UCP, and Sameena Aziz, Founder and Director of ISLAH and co-organiser of the event, welcomed visitors.
Before long, Keynote speeches were underway, from Professor Sir Les Ebdon, UCP Chair of Governors, and Professor Ben Rogaly, Professor of Human Geography in the School of Global Studies at the University of Sussex, whose research activity takes a large focus on the city of Peterborough.

STAMFORD COLLEGE ARTS DEPARTMENT HOST ‘PARTY IN THE CAR PARK’

The Arts departments of Stamford College, hosted a fantastic night of fun at the ‘Party in the Car Park’ last week. Stamford College’s car park and the Creative Arts block were transformed into an exhibition of students’ work, providing a platform for Art students from every course, every level and every group, to showcase their talents.
Year on year, ‘Party in the Car Park’ serves as a crucial milestone to recognise the achievements of Stamford College’s Art students. It is an excellent opportunity for learners to showcase their work to a wider audience, gaining recognition, appreciation and feedback from peers, staff and the general public. It also helps students to gain exposure in the art world, attracting the attention of patrons and opening doors to future opportunities to help them further their artistic careers.
Peterborough College Sports Academies Host Awards Lunch


Peterborough College’s sports academies celebrated the exceptional achievements of their talented student athletes with an exclusive awards lunch held at the oncampus Parcs Restaurant. The event, which took place on 8th June, was a momentous occasion, recognising the dedication, commitment and outstanding performances of the College’s sports stars.
The awards lunch brought together athletes, coaches and College staff to honour the outstanding accomplishments of the sports academies’ students. From remarkable triumphs on the fields to exceptional contributions to team spirit and leadership, the event celebrated the diverse achievements of these remarkable individuals.
