Access to the display is by the manned entry Gates 2 to 7 into Verulamium Park shown on the map overleaf. Gate 1 is closed due to over flooding. Nearest entry is Gate 2. Please have your Cathedral Box Office tickets ready, either printed at home or available on your phone. These can also be found by logging into your account on the Cathedral website.
Parking close to the event is extremely limited so you are advised to park in the city centre and walk. Or St Columba’s College is offering some spaces for a fee per vehicle, proceeds to the CAFOD.
There is only very limited disabled parking in the St Michael’s car park. Accessible viewing is either via Gate 3 (involves crossing some grass) or there is a good view from the bridge over the lake (see map overleaf) accessed by metalled paths from Gate 2.
Provides families struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement and many other issues with the support of a volunteer family mentor who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home. Through practical and emotional support, they make sure parents have the skills, confidence and strength they need to nurture their children.
Earthworks enables people of all abilities to learn and work together in nature. They support people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, autism and mental health needs – alongside dedicated volunteers to develop and manage 3.5 acres of beautiful eco-gardens in St Albans.
This amazing public display, the biggest in the region, has raised nearly £976,000 for local and national charities. This year, we are proud to be raising money for Home-Start Hertfordshire and Earthworks St Albans.
The Fireworks Spectacular is organised by a volunteer team from St Albans Cathedral, with the help of over 400 local volunteers including Scouts, Guides, Lions, local charities and PTAs and the Cathedral congregation.
