Welcome to the Staffordshire Police

Open Day 2024

Today we are opening up our headquarters, with the support of many partner organisations, to show you the amazing, brave and skilled work that emergency service staff deliver to keep you safe. As you can see in this programme, there is lots for you to enjoy throughout the day and I hope you leave the event knowing a little more about policing in Staffordshire. Have fun and enjoy your day.

Schedule of Demonstrations

What’s on

We’ve got lots in store for everyone in the family to enjoy including the chance to meet some of our brave police dogs and handlers, opportunities to sit in a police car and on a police motorbike, meet our mascot KASH, talk to a recruitment team about the many roles available in Staffordshire Police, see some vintage police cars and try on some of the uniform and equipment that our officers use.

There will also be lots of activities and things to see from other organisations such as Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, Staffordshire Search and Rescue, West Midlands Ambulance Service, local football clubs and the army. The kids can get their faces painted or watch the birds of prey.

Useful Information

• Sorry, no dogs allowed apart from assistance or guide dogs. There will be working police dogs on site, so please leave your four-legged friends at home to avoid disappointment.

• We are trying to keep this event as cashless as possible, however some vendors will still take cash. Please note there is not a working cash machine on site.

• You are welcome to bring your own food and drink on site. However, there is a strict NO alcohol policy. There will be a range of food and drink outlets available on the day catering for diverse tastes and dietary needs.

• This is a strictly no smoking or vaping event. Anyone found smoking or vaping will be asked to extinguish their cigarette or asked to stop vaping.

• Toilets are located in Block 7 and around the site.

• Baby change and breastfeeding facilities are all located in the reception area, block 7.

• The identified first aid point is the main reception in block 7.
