I yo r child intends to start niversity straight a ter sixth orm, the main UCAS application deadline is in Jan ary d ring Year 13. Some co rses, s ch as medicine, have earlier deadlines. They will then receive replies rom the individ al niversities, letting them know i they have been made an o er.

They will be asked to select a firm and an ins rance o er – yo r child’s first and second choice. These are s ally conditional on them achieving certain grades or UCAS points.

The o er is then confirmed on res lts day in A g st. I they miss o t on their place, they can search or other co rses at di erent niversities sing the Clearing system.
