Having established this date for this year, we are for the offering a spring event that is able to combine FEI and National riders. Next event falls back a week and will incentivize 5* riders who intend to ride their Kentucky, a three-weeks-prior training opportunity.

In 2023, this will also benefit those preparing their fall competition and training calendar: Stable View’s Oktoberfest will drop back a week to give riders a 4* horse trial three weeks prior to Fair Hill. As a result of the USEF Pathway Program, we were awarded our spring and fall dates to occur three weeks prior to the most prestigious events in US Eventing - Kentucky and Fair Hill, respectively - and it is a responsibility we take very seriously. Stable View has come a long way since it ran its inaugural H.T. - with 127 entries - in 2014! Constant Improvement has always been a Stable View motto. To that end, at this Spring 4* event, and for the first time, we will open our facility to Tailgating. This will be repeated at Oktoberfest and will become a regular spectator advantage of these two festivities. Also for Oktoberfest, Stable View will have introduced a Golf Cart Track, which is intended to traverse around the outside of the Cross Country Course. This will make all of Stable View “family accessible,” and open up the property further for spectators. By Oktoberfest, we also intend to open a new Food Court and more clearly define - and reposition - Vendor Row. Stable View would like to thank all Owners, Riders, Officials, and Guests for their ongoing support and in many cases, advice. This facility has been developed by the Community, for the Community. Therefore, as Stable View grows, it is increasingly serving many people in our area, not all of whom are an equestrian. A BIRDER'S PARADISE
FREE TO BEE Having started in early spring with five nucleus colonies (also known as "nucs") from a local bee supplier, Stable View's bees have grown to eleven, almost twelve, hives with healthy queens. Over the summer, we have supported the bees' efforts to build up and prepare for winter. Our goal is to contribute to healthy pollinators in our area, and share the sweet fruits of their labor!
This time last year, Stable View had one resident Red-Cockaded Woodpecker. Today, we have ten (six adults and four juveniles)! Additionally, by increasing our number of nest boxes we have helped many of our feathered friends thrive: this year, we have fledged 200+ Eastern Bluebirds (an increase of 50% compared to last year); a pair of Eastern Screech Owls fledged two young; and the American Kestrels fledged all five nestlings from the same nest box as in previous years. According to our expert, Mark Pavlosky of MPJ Wildlife, we expect to observe many migrant species working their way South early this fall. We look forward to hosting bird watchers who wish to view native, rare, or endangered species on their lists!
HISTORICALLY, "A GATHERING PLACE" Set out afoot–or ahoof–on our 15 miles of marked trails, each named in honor of local Native American tribes, where you may see evidence of our prescribed fires, which increase plant diversity, perpetuate endangered species, allow wildlife easier access to food sources, restore nutrients back into the soil, and reduce the risk of wildfires.
