welcome Annie was one of those people who, in some instances very discreetly, was a member of a number of different “families”.

In terms of Annie’s involvement within the Stable View family, Cyndy and I would like to say that we valued her advice and we will, as we all will, be the poorer as a result of her departure.

As with Oktoberfest, at the beginning of this Eventing Academy Cross Country, there will be a minutes silence.

Having referenced Oktoberfest, please don’t forget that this event is the highlight of the Stable View calendar.

Yes, there will be lots of upper level riders competing for, and paying big bucks to enter, but please don’t forget that Oktoberfest is a celebration for all eventers and that BN entry fees remain at $225!

Unlike most facilities, for our top events, Stable View has two Course Designers.

Mark Phillips will, as usual, be designing the 4* and 3* and A courses.

Mogie will, as usual, be designing I through BN. We believe that it’s important to have this level of consistency – your fences will be designed by the same person designing the courses for this EA. In many respects their components might look similar; they will be staked, levelled, decorated and with ground lines, just as they are today.

Entries for this month’s EA have virtually doubled from last year - this is good news. Particularly to those of you who have travelled a distance, we thank you.

As a result of this ongoing growth, certain Eventing Academies - primarily during the winter months - will be run over three days rather than two.

Please don’t forget Graze and Gaze – Saturday evening from 5.00 to 7.00.
