PRESIDENT’S DINNER RECAP
President’s Dinner
St. Xavier High School benefactors and supporters gathered for the annual President’s Dinner on Tuesday, October 12. The 2020 dinner was postponed because of COVID but was an exciting event for 2021. President Tim Reilly ’76 welcomed guests and thanked them for their continued support of St. Xavier students. As guests arrived, they were greeted by the melodic tones of the St. Xavier Jazz Band.
Rev. Terrence A. Baum SJ provided the opening prayer and guests enjoyed dinner music provided by the St. Xavier Strings Ensemble.
The choral group Ensemble X performed the National Anthem and then delighted guests with the musical performances of the songs “Joshua Fit the Battle” by Ramon Gonzales, “Prayer of the Children” by Kurt Bestor and “Lean on Me with We Shall Overcome” by Mark Hayes.
St. X past Board Chairman Mr. Gary J. Gruber ’73 and current Chairman Mr. Nicholas J. Vehr ’77 reviewed the past few years, and the success St. Xavier has seen during the most recent trying times.

Faculty and staff members were recognized for their 25 years of dedicated service to the St. Xavier community. Thank you to those who were
recognized for reaching this milestone in 2020: Mr. Theodore R. Mechley, Sr. ’89, Mr. Thomas E. Mills, Mr. Michael M. Odioso ’81 and Ms. Heather K. Nardini and to those recognized in 2021 Ms. Cheryl L. Asper, Mr. John P. Cole ’85, Ms. Diane M. Seifert and Mr. Stephen R. Specht ’86.

Dieckman, Jr. ’82 and from 2021, Mr. Gary J. Gruber ’73 and Mr. Michael P. O’Rourke ’86 and Rev. Michael J. Graham SJ were honored and thanked for their service.
Mr. Michael J. Ehrensberger ’61 was recognized and received the 2020 Magis Award. The Magis award recognizes and honors those who have made an exceptional contribution of service to St. Xavier High School. Mr. Timothy J. Schroeder ’75 received the 2020 Insignis Award. The Insignis Award is the highest honor that can be bestowed on an alumnus. It recognizes a graduate who has served God, family and community in an outstanding manner.
The evening concluded with a note of thanks from Mr. Reilly to all in attendance for their support not only financially, but through prayer and volunteer service as well.
