ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE EXPLORE THE WORLD THROUGH POETRY AND PROSE Studying English Language and Literature will allow you to explore new worlds and new ideas through a broad collection of classical and contemporary literature.

After graduation

In addition to the Minor, Major, and Honours programs in English Language and Literature, you will have the option to pursue a concentration in Creative Writing or Drama:

As an English graduate, you may pursue a career in law, medicine, marketing, writing, animation, library and information sciences, business, education, social work, publishing, communications, journalism, film and theatre, event management, museum studies, or any of the many fields for which you bring unique skills to the table.

Creative Writing Engage with texts creatively by producing your own and listening to readings by authors and writers. You will sharpen your style and submit work for publication.

Drama Explore the relationship between text and performance in courses and clubs like Theatre St. Thomas.
