TODAY’S SPECIAL EVENTS
APRIL 14, 2013
The following is a list of events occuring today at St. Luke’s. For other events and upcoming information, pick up a COMMUNION MONTHLY, available at the end of the pews and at the Information Desk in the Narthex.
60th Anniversary Celebration Welcome to a special Sunday morning as we celebrate 60 years of St. Luke’s history and look forward to the next decades of ministry. We are pleased to welcome to today’s services our former senior pastors: Rev. Bill Imler (19531959) along with his wife, Dona Lou; Dr. Richard Hamilton (1959-1967); Dr. Carver McGriff (1967-1993) along with his wife, Marianne; and Dr. Kent Millard (1993-2011). Dr. McGriff will be delivering the message “Generation to Generation” at all three services this morning. After worship, enjoy cupcakes and some fun activities. Take time to stop by the Endowment booth, where you can get information about how you can leave a faith legacy that will have an impact on ministry for future generations.
nancial contributions will go toward helping this important ministry for children; if you wish to make a gift, place it an offering envelope with “Fletcher Place” on the Special Offering line. If you would like to assist as a counselor during the summer, or help prepare lunches, contact Don Cochran at dcochran@cdsins.com.
Half the Sky The first of six Half the Sky events takes place on Wednesday, April 17 in Fellowship Hall. Dinner is sold out, but you are invited to attend the program (free of charge) from 7-8:30PM. Come to learn, share and take action on behalf of women worldwide through this series, based on the bestselling book Half the Sky. Details can be found on our website or in the April Communion Monthly.
