COMMUNION AT ST. LUKE’S

Today we celebrate Holy Communion in worship. In the United Methodist Church, we practice an “open table,” where all are welcome; you do not have to be a member of this or any church to participate. All who desire to be forgiven and receive God’s grace are invited. Please follow the directions provided by your ushers. You will be guided to come to the front by an usher to receive a piece of bread and cup, and then return to your pew by the opposite aisle. Once consumed you can place the cup in the holder in the back of the pew in front of you. All bread is gluten free, and we use grape juice in place of wine. If you need the elements brought to you, please lift a hand and an usher will bring them to you.

SAFETY & SECURITY

This summer, we are going all-in for kids and youth, and that includes Safe Spaces. Beginning June 9, we will ask all adults coming to our building (M-F 6:30 AM-5:30 PM) to sign in at the Door 6 check-in desk with a driver’s license or other government-issued ID to receive a name tag. Hundreds of children and youth will be with us this summer, and we want to ensure their safety in similar ways that our schools, childcare centers, and community centers are already doing.
