EXPLORING MEMBERSHIP Tuesday, January 26 • 7PM • Zoom The Exploring Membership Class will help you learn more about the United Methodist Church and the process for formally joining St. Luke’s. You’ll also get to hear the story of St. Luke’s and discuss what it means to be a member of this local congregation through serving, growing in your faith journey, moving toward generosity, and more. Class participants will have the opportunity to join the church at the end of the class. Register at stlukesumc.com/events. A RETREAT INTO THE PSALMS Saturday, January 30 • 10AM – Noon • Zoom This two-hour retreat is meant for anyone who seeks to find comfort and healing in grief by learning to write his/her own Psalm of lament. Using the poetry of the Psalms, as well as poetry about winter, which so wonderfully conveys the feeling and experience and transformation of lament, we as a group, can together begin to put words to our own experiences and share this with one another. This, in turn, can help all of us to grow in faith, to find a closer connection to one another as part of the same church, and to find joy in discovering God’s holy ground in our writing process. This retreat is meant to draw all of us closer to God, as well as one another. Signup at stlukesumc.com/event/472. OUTREACH OPEN HOUSE | Sunday, Jan 31 • 2PM • Zoom Did you attend the Winter Summit and are looking to take the next step in your own call to be justice-seeking?
